Alex Barrett3 said:Look, nobody is questioning that, and it’s definitely not what I’m getting at here. My point is that a 5% ticket quota MUST be set aside for visiting fans. At San Francisco, that works out to roughly 550 tickets, which is pretty much the size of the away section they built over the winter (shoutout to Lerdy for correcting me on that). I don't see any reason why Rijeka FC should hand over more than 5% to you or any other supporter group if those seats could be sold to their own local fans instead. Hats off to everyone, truly, but what club actually wants to see more away fans in their stands? 🤷 Sure, if there isn't enough demand from the home crowd, then maybe we can look at that option from a purely financial standpoint. But in any other scenario, the home fan is sacred.

Now you're talking about ticket reciprocity. That is something handled by agreements between clubs. We don't need—and unfortunately, aren't asking for—3,931 seats in the south end of Yankee Stadium, nor is that our goal. Whatever this so-called Dinamo management is offering is their own business, and I don't see any reason why we should agree to it if we have no use for those tickets. What would we even get in return for giving you 3,931 tickets at our stadium, which only holds 10,275 people? 🤷 5% of Yankee Stadium is less than 2,000 tickets, and that is the absolute MINIMUM that needs to be provided to visiting fans according to the rules. Anything beyond that is just a deal between clubs or, in your case, the "goodwill" of a management team that thinks they have the right to hand the entire south stand over to the visitors.

Similarly, 5% of San Francisco is about 550 seats, or tickets, which all visiting fans are entitled to at every match. Everything else is just a negotiation between two clubs. Like I said before, I don't see the point in giving away more than 5% to away fans if it's possible—and for this Sunday game, it is—to sell those tickets to the home crowd. Every single ticket given to the visitors is one less local fan in the stands.

That specific section of the stands where those extra 300 tickets were requested is either going to sit empty or be filled with police if Rijeka FC doesn't release them for sale to the Dinamo fans.

I don't care how much space they open up, Jesse Campbell was right when he said the firm supporters always pack in tight. No worries, we'll fit regardless of what they say.😉
-Honestly, I'm not even sure what the plan is for the crew since some guys are just grabbing a few seats, but then you've got the others...😁
-Heading out for a beer now.🙂

See you all in Rijeka.🙂

Yeah. And if the firm supporters end up taking that spot, they're basically just creating a new buffer zone, which kind of shrinks the space for our local guys. I guess.

Alex Barrett3 said:How many tickets should we actually give away? Is it 5% or 10%? If it's 5%, that’s a maximum of 600 tickets, which might even be more than necessary. Since the capacity is around 10,500, it makes no sense to give them away at the expense of Rijeka FC fans—basically, expanding the visiting section toward the stands and shrinking the space for our people in sector E1.

Buddy, are you feeling okay?

Who even are you? Do you work for some department at Rijeka FC or something? Honestly, I don't care how many tickets you decide to hand out; we did everything we could for our own people, and I'm not going to stress myself out over sector E1.

Besides, why does it even matter? Half of us won't even get in for the second half anyway.

Bulja, can you give us a better idea of which section those crews from Mirnovec are actually sitting in...😁

Besides, why even bother moving us around? Half of us won't even be able to get in for the second half anyway.

Look, man. You guys did your thing. Great. But now the real question is whether Rijeka FC actually feels like giving you those 300 tickets. They should be handing over 550—they've even gone above that before. They don't owe anything else. ☕

I don't give a damn how many tickets you get if it ends up screwing over our fans. If they just cram everyone into that one section and let us do our thing without bothering us, then fine, whatever.

At the end of the day, who actually makes it inside isn't really the point here.

I don't give a damn how many tickets you get if it means our fans get screwed over. If they just shove everyone into one section and stop making a fuss, fine, whatever.

Who cares when someone finally decides to show up for this crap.

Are you kidding me right now???

Have you guys ever actually dealt with a sold-out stadium being an issue? Last time I can remember, it was at Partizan or Cincinnati.

Or has Rijeka just gone absolutely insane??? 🤷 Even those idiots gave us a piece of the West stand, so I guess you lot will let us into the cages that have always been ours...

Just another "crisis" for the MLS to solve: where to cram all these massive crowds... 😁

Has anyone here ever dealt with a stadium being so completely sold out that it actually becomes a logistical headache? The only times I can recall seeing anything remotely close to that were at Yankee Stadium or during a Cincinnati home game.

Or has Rijeka FC just gone absolutely insane all of a sudden??? 🤷

It seems we have stumbled upon yet another burning crisis for the MLS, where on earth are we supposed to fit all these massive crowds... 😁

Only one spectator 🙂 🙂

🤣

Why are we even wasting breath on this debate with that annoying provocateur from the rival ultras? The demand for more tickets and stadium sales was sent. Period. Tomorrow we hit the road. We're gonna get our 3%, 4%, or maybe 5%. It’s done. No point arguing now. 🤷

Has Rijeka FC actually lost its mind? 🤷 Even those fools back then handed us a slice of the West—so I suppose you all will eventually let us back into the cages that have always belonged to us...

I mean, here we go again—another "burning issue" for the MLS. We’re suddenly faced with the massive problem of where to actually fit all these die-hard fans... 😁

It isn't really that big of a deal right now... The only issue is that, given how things have played out, our final match against you would likely see a sold-out stadium—including the east stands—that's a guarantee. But what's the point? The stadium is what it is. No matter how many away fans show up, those 3,000 seats have to stay empty for security reasons. If they ever decide to build a new stadium, then they can worry about that—until then, we just deal with the reality of the situation. ☕

Look, even last time against you guys, they sold basically every single ticket available to the home crowd... Only about 2,000 or 3,000 seats are held back from general sale—it’s nothing new, especially when at least 50 away fans show up to the east stands. 🤷

Or has Seattle really gone that crazy??? 🤷

The club is relatively decent; they’ve set up two away sections, and for the big derbies, they try to maximize the home crowd.
Both the casual fans and the Bad Boys will have to get used to the fact that they won't be showing up to San Francisco by the thousands anymore—it’ll likely be closer to 500 or 800, depending on how many tickets Seattle decides to release.

With the new owner and new management taking over this season, the club is actually working with their supporters. They’re pulling people to the stadium for every match through "Together We Are Seattle" campaigns, posters all over town, local radio and TV ads, fireworks at every game, and so on. Their marketing is actually solid, unlike ours...
But the bottom line is that after four or five years of grinding, they’re chasing European spots. They have great results and a top-tier squad. They just secured a win at the stadium... naturally, it’s going to be packed (aside from one or two cages separating the Seattle fans from Dinamo), just like last time.
And the ticket prices are reasonable—even for the away section. Just remember 2007, when a couple hundred people showed up despite the tickets costing $23🤦.

Seattle’s got new ownership and a whole new crew running things this season. They’re actually playing ball with the fans, too—running that "Together We Are Seattle" campaign to get people back in the stands. They’ve got posters all over the city, ads hitting local radio and TV, even fireworks at every home game. Their marketing is actually solid, unlike ours.
The bottom line is they’ll be playing in Europe in a few years. They've got the results and a killer roster to back it up. They just played in Seattle... obviously the stadium's gonna be packed, aside from maybe a couple of cages separating the local fans from the Dinamo crowd, just like last time.
Ticket prices are right where they should be—even out-of-towners won't complain. Just look back at 2007 when a couple hundred people stayed home because the price was too high. $23🤦)

And how much are those stripes worth to us?

It’s cool seeing people actually give a damn about the club. But if we all cram into the stadium at once, we're gonna be suffocating. It's like us old guys, the heavy hitters, carrying these skinny kids on our shoulders just to get through. 😁

By the way, I had the honor of serving at the San Francisco base
They'd wash you out if you tried heading into town, and if not then, you're guaranteed a soaking on the way back.

We spent two damn weeks doing training in the hallway just because of the rain.

Just my thoughts on the city and the weather.

In a place like that, you build a house from the roof down.🤣
