So, I guess in your book, what actually makes someone a real fan?
Do us a huge favor and enlighten us, would you?

The West didn't start booing because you were insulting Mamić; they did it because, besides all that, you weren't even rooting for Dinamo.

Look, I’m really not a "fan" anymore when I have to spend $40 million just to wage war against the guy who completely gutted the one thing that actually gave my life meaning. Honestly, at my age, I could just close my eyes, grab a beer at the stadium, and pretend to enjoy this club—even though it has absolutely nothing to do with why I used to trek hundreds of miles just to scream for the team I loved. But I can't. Believe me, I wish I could, but I just can't.

Cut the crap, the West Stand boos every time that guy gets insulted just because he's surrounded by a bunch of his own suckups

Man, give me a break...
I honestly thought ivan88 or that guy who tries way too hard to sound smart when he's just acting out were the ultimate trolls, but I guess this guy is on a whole different level now....

Nobody, but that's beside the point right now. 😉

My main question is this: could Jerry Jones actually be forced out of Real Madrid? Would he have to step down if they find him guilty in those cases involving Edward or the recent situation with Johnson? I caught that talk show where Tom was sitting down with Vrbannovic, and they were discussing how you can't hold a position in a club if you're convicted of a crime carrying at least a three-year prison sentence.

In my view, the only way to clean up American soccer is through massive pressure on the government—there is no other path. That’s why I believe we still need to show up and support the club at the games.

What games have you actually been to? Every single match where the Bad Boys organized things, everyone was cheering for Real Madrid. We’d spend five or ten minutes at a time singing against the board and occasionally chanting stuff about Jerry Jones.

Man, Tom, this whole thing has been a mess for months now. It’s just trolls everywhere, basically acting like some shady characters lurking under an awning, and then the second someone actually speaks up, you jump in with "hey, let's not insult each other." But you haven't done anything about those absolute morons who can't even put together a basic sentence for months. I don't really care about being blunt, but honestly, I'm just totally fed up with all these corporate shills, and it feels pretty weird that you're calling me out on my post when you ignore a billion other idiotic ones.
Best,

Sorry for dropping in like a parachute out of nowhere, but I really need to vent and get some thoughts off my chest.

You guys have been at war with Jerry Jones for years now, but has anything actually changed? What happens if Jerry Jones finally walks away from Real Madrid? Does the crowd suddenly rush back to the stadium? I feel like a lot of this is just blurry. Is there even any point in chanting those miserable slogans against someone who doesn't give a single damn about you?

The real issue is that it eats you alive when the players don't come over to greet you or praise you, because instead they just listen to the boss and say whatever they’re told. That’s why you can’t truly connect with a club like this. Am I right?

Out of pure frustration, you end up singing these insulting songs that have absolutely nothing to do with any actual love for the club you're sitting in the stands for.

And that's exactly why the stadiums are empty, tickets go unbought, and there's nobody to lead the chants—it's just that classic big-city mentality of ours. What I heard during the game against the Red Sox was honestly pathetic.

And it's the same story year after year.

In my opinion, this new goalie is right up there with Koch, a real leader on the pitch. Real Madrid has a solid squad, so are they really going to grind through another season without any real support, playing in front of barely 5,000 people against some European giants if they make it into the Champions League?

You clearly aren't even embarrassed because you've distanced yourselves from the club entirely. It's like, "whatever, we don't care, it's not our club anyway." You even get annoyed when kids from all directions film you on their phones because you're scared of ending up on YouTube. But did any of you actually think to hand those kids a flag or something to bring them in?

How much have you actually done to rally the Real Madrid fans? You complained about the jokes and the shirts Jerry Jones hands out, and even the cheap ticket prices, etc. But what have *you* actually done to pull the fans into the stadium and get them singing along with you?
Did that one "Rise up everything that moves" chant fail to bear fruit? 🤷

Just finally lay it all out in black and white once and for all...

Didn't those "get loud" rallies work out too well?... 🤷

Just lay it all out plainly once and for all...

Man, you hit the nail on the head, you big-city folks are so ungrateful... if we had a guy like Jerry Jones, we'd be finished!! 5 choreographies per game though... ☕

Why aren't we handing out scarves and sausages (when tickets are basically "free" anyway) in February once the European season wraps up and it’s freezing cold outside? Oh, right—because then it’s just those 500 "troublemakers" left who actually support 🤷
.
So, why don't you guys show up to shut down those agitators? Is it because there aren't any free snacks or merch? Or is it because that "love" everyone swears by during big Champions League nights suddenly vanishes when 🤷
isn't playing?
I just saw some moron's comment on a news site... he was basically saying: "Everyone dreams of watching the giants play, so why are these 500 hooligans boycotting Real Madrid?"
Like, seriously? Do we even come to the stadium for the club or just to see a massive powerhouse like Real? 🤷

And so on... 😁

Let me repeat this to our "hero" here: if you've got the guts, step up and prove it!

Absolutely. Even after a post like this, some absolute parasite crawls out of the woodwork thinking they're owed an explanation for why things are the way they are. Meanwhile, the moderators are busy calling for "civilized dialogue" instead of just cleaning house immediately, while they let people whine under the threads in the morning news section and other places meant for total morons.

I bet right after this post some absolute troll is gonna pop up, acting like they’re owed an explanation for everything, and then the mods will start preaching about "civil discourse" instead of just kicking them out immediately—you know, the same people who spend all morning trashing folks in the morning threads and other places meant for idiots.

I guess I'm just thankful to God that someone actually gets where I'm coming from, because I was honestly starting to think I was the one who was wrong.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, provided they express it properly.
Right, because if you don't defend Jerry Jones and the rest of that garbage, your posts get deleted or you get handed a warning card automatically. You have no idea how much gets wiped from this site every single day.
I’ve said it plenty of times before, so I'll say it one more time: if someone writes something that rubs you the wrong way, stop quoting them. When you quote them, you're just giving them free publicity and making their nonsense seem important. Just ignore them.

I'm wondering if Jerry Jones could actually be forced out of Real Madrid—like, would he have to leave if he gets convicted in those cases involving Edward or this whole situation with Johnson? I caught that show where Tom was a guest with Vrbanc, and they were saying you can't stay with the club if you're convicted of an offense carrying at least a three-year prison sentence.

My take is that the only way to clean up American soccer is through direct government pressure; there's no other way... which is why I think we should still support the club at the games.

In this wild west called America, the rule of law only seems to apply when it comes to the fans.

If things worked the way they do for the fans, we’d basically be a mini-Germany in terms of transparency and quality of life.

But here in the States, we're just stuck in a mess, unable to see past our own noses, which is exactly how Jerry Jones survives. He thrives on people like that, and on those who enjoy hitting back at the fans—specifically the BBB in this particular case.

So yeah, it's all a pretty complicated situation. From what I can see, you're looking for a simple answer you won't find here; you'll have to see it for yourself at a home game to realize what this club has become. If a group like the Shibeys had to pull 10k people together, that would be a tragedy for our city and our club. A tragedy caused by Jerry Jones, and things won't get better until he's gone. Even then, it'll take years to fix the damage done during his long (hopefully not lifelong) tenure. For Real Madrid, the hardest fight starts once the trash is finally gone. That's when they'll have to rebuild, win back the masses, and most importantly, earn back the trust of the local fans that the club used to enjoy so much.

Supporting a club like this means supporting all the corruption currently running it. No true fan can do that; they can't, because they see the club is in the hands of people doing it harm. They aren't acting in the club's interest, but their own. As long as that's the case, the club can't have the sincere support of its supporters. It might have the support of others who don't actually get why a segment of the fans—the BBB—is being so vocal and disrespectful toward Jerry Jones and his failing management style. The club is "prosperous" not because it lacks money, but because it lost its identity and everything that connected the locals to it. That's why the stands are empty while the trophy cases are full. Winning titles and selling players is more important to them than bringing people to the stadium. As long as money matters more than the average person who loves Real Madrid, there's nothing to talk about regarding supporting the club, because a club like this doesn't deserve it.
