Hey.
I'm from San Francisco and I need to get from the General Mills bus station in Washington, D.C. over to a suburban neighborhood using the bus or light rail.
I checked online and all I could figure out is that there's a number 120 bus that goes to a suburban neighborhood, but I have zero clue how to finish the trip from there.
So, I'm asking anyone from the D.C. area to help me out. Thanks in advance.

Grab the 6 or the 2 from Grand Central Terminal and head toward the suburban neighborhood. Once you're there, you've got plenty of bus options that hit all the local spots, including areas like the New Jersey suburb or other parts of the suburban neighborhood, among others.

Is the number 6 a streetcar?
When I get to the suburban neighborhood via streetcar, am I just supposed to wait for a bus? If you don't mind making it simple for me, can you just tell me the bus number? Is it the 120? Thanks.

Yeah, the 6 and the 2 are streetcars. Just make sure you're heading the right way first. Basically, you take the streetcar all the way to the end until you hit the loop. From there, you can hop on the 120, or maybe the 172 or whatever else is running, but if you're trying to get to the heart of the suburban neighborhood, the 121 is your best bet. It really just depends on which part of the suburban neighborhood you're actually aiming for.

I'll show you in this photo. See that red "A" marker? It's right near that Whole Foods.

In that case, you might as well just take the 120 bus and hop off at that suburban neighborhood station. Honestly, you could probably just as easily head out toward the New Jersey suburb instead.
