I’m just wondering if this is actually fixable.

The model is pretty much like this one

I picked these up about three years ago—one of them actually started acting up last year. I could usually get it to work by fiddling with the connection cable to my laptop, just twisting it until it caught. Then recently, the second one started doing the exact same thing. I was always able to wiggle the cord enough to make it work, but today? Nothing. Just dead. 😳

If there's a chance at a repair, where should I take them, what kind of damage am I looking at, and is it even worth the hassle?

If I'm better off just grabbing a new pair, does anyone have recommendations for something under $117? I mostly just use them for listening to music, if that matters.

It is highly probable that there is an issue with the cable itself or perhaps a fault within the 3.5mm stereo jack, whether you are dealing with the male or female connector.
Have you attempted to test these components on a different computer to rule out a system-specific error?

I don't have another computer handy, but I tried hooking it up to my phone and still nothing. So—is it just a busted cable at this point? Any tips on how to swap it out?
