neonwalker95 said:activists from the Vigilara and Grape organizations have started flooding this forum just to clutter things up because they’ve become total nobodies everywhere else... kind of like those one-hit wonders you hear about in the music industry, I guess.

It’s been their playbook since they first started campaigning against sex education... suddenly our whole city is crawling with those four-legged activists, constant spamming with flyers and junk emails regarding posters for the Fin dead girls... Mestar even went so far as to brag about personally emailing the director at Gavella... then there was all that spam involving Judith Reisman, which they used to harass the local university until they basically overwhelmed the entire philosophy department with junk... it was just endless spam, over and over...

And what's your solution?

Are we just supposed to ban people from speaking their minds?

While one group was actually having legitimate discussions about why sex education shouldn't be implemented, the other group was busy trying to discredit the very forum members who were questioning it...

The way you signed your post really highlights the issue perfectly...

Now, suddenly, the first group is labeled as spammers, while the second group gets treated like respected community members...

It’s honestly absurd, almost laughable...

Ban free speech?

While one group was busy legitimately attacking sex education, the other group spent all their energy attacking the forum users who dared to disagree with them.

Your comment really drives that point home.

Now suddenly, the first group are "spammers" while the second group gets treated like respected members.

It's absurd—honestly, it's laughable.

That’s exactly why we have moderators—without them, this place would just be a chaotic mess of spam. These neo-Catholics from those specific organizations are the real spammers; apparently, their own websites aren't enough, and since they can't get their way in news comments, they're trying to hijack someone else's domain and university space. They haven't even managed to rally those 60,000 anti-sex-ed parents they keep dreaming about, so now they're forced to push themselves onto our territory.

They're basically just looking for a platform to force their agenda onto ours.

Spammers, trolls, and those self-appointed "gatekeepers" acting like internal and external enemies🤣... look, this isn't a private club where one side gets to be "legitimate" while anyone who disagrees is labeled a spammer spreading "fairy tales." Everyone has a right to their opinion. Whether we agree with them or not is precisely what makes a forum worth having in the first place.

They still haven't managed to round up those 60,000 anti-sex-education parents they keep dreaming about in their little fairy tales, so now they're trying to hijack other people's domains and their universities just to force themselves into the conversation...

"Their universities." 🤦

It’s "other" because Miletić—from that Vigilara group that hosted Judith Reisman—didn't invite her to his own university where he got his Master's and is finishing his PhD (the Catholic seminary)—instead, he basically NATURITI her, cornered her through political science and philosophy circles, flooded the public square, and even showed up in the media for a short stint with a live fucking stream. Now everyone's suddenly acting concerned because some topic is finally starting to boil over. 😉

just a one-hit wonder 🤷

neonwalker95 said:It’s an outside matter because Miletić, representing the Vigilara association which hosted Judith Reisman, didn't simply invite her to his own university where he earned his Master's and is currently pursuing his doctorate—which happens to be a Catholic seminary—but rather, he essentially manufactured her presence, coerced her through political science and philosophy frameworks, flooded the public sphere with her, and even secured brief media appearances, going so far as to host a live fucking stream. That is precisely why there is such intense scrutiny now; certain topics are reaching a boiling point. 😉

A mere one-hit wonder 🤷

You are trolling again.
Closing a thread is always a contentious issue.
It is because the subject matter actually hurts someone.
Just let it sink into obscurity if it isn't interesting or relevant anymore.

Closing a thread is always debatable—
mostly because certain topics just sting.
If it’s boring or irrelevant, let it die a natural death.

Let’s stick to the actual topic here—honestly, give me a break. 🙂

And honestly, that "attorney" this whole group hired with their little teamlwas such a joke that it’s actually worth reopening this entire discussion just to address it. 🙂

Can we please try to act like civilized adults for once? 🙂

Exactly. Anything else is really just a way to censor speech.

The thread is locked, but here’s the actual scoop:

Someone needs to call Reuters! ☕

Hey there, forum leadership...

Look, everyone is entitled to their own perspective on things—that's just how life works—but there's a massive difference between having an opinion and acting like a moderator or an owner... this feels a bit like that old-school pharmacy mentality from back in the day—are we really refusing to host discussions just because they don't align with your specific beliefs? 🙏 😁

Brenda Cook4 said:Why are you talking like that? Are you the owner now, forcing anyone who doesn't fit your "vibe" out into the shadows? What are you trying to say? That this is some closed-off little bubble where if you don't radiate the exact same energy, you aren't "educated"? Does everyone have to march to the same beat like they did back in the old days? Hasn't enough time passed for that? Or is that just too hard for some people to accept?

If people actually care about a topic, why shut it down? If they don't care, the thread just fades away naturally on its own... no need for the heavy hand.

Honestly, I'm a little surprised... 👍

Professors and faculty at Harvard Medical School: Mr. Secretary, sex education has absolutely nothing to do with scientific expertise

Are these people just playing "pseudo-scientist" now too?

I’d really appreciate it if we could just lock this thread and move the discussion back to politics...

Thanks.

I honestly don't get why Ryan Vaughn7 censors things like this. Why delete posts just because people disagree? The guy simply wipes out entries and bans any topic that doesn't suit his mood—it's ridiculous. What is the point of a forum if not for debate? And in any real debate, there are always two sides—those who agree and those who don't.

Look, if the other moderators still can't see what's going on after this, then I don't know what else they need to look at...

Ryan Vaughn7 said:Yeah, I had a thumb and a forefinger. There’s nothing new to say on this thread. If there is, it'll be reopened. In the meantime, we aren't going to serve as a billboard for pamphlets from the health education crowd and their ilk. Though, I wish them well.

James Patel20 said:Professors and lecturers at Harvard Medical School: Mr. Secretary, sex education has absolutely nothing to do with academic rigor

How much longer is this going to last? 🤷 If people aren't even allowed to express their own opinions and stances on this forum, then just say so—that writing about it is forbidden—and fine, that would be a lot more honest than this current nonsense...

I was wondering if we could actually start a thread on the politics subforum about the censorship going on lately? It’s getting completely out of hand in the media, and honestly, it feels like the same thing is happening right here on this forum.

What kind of censorship is this, for heaven's sake? The thread gets shut down after 9,200 posts, even though the people posting most frequently are the very same ones constantly complaining here. I swear, everyone has voiced their opinion at least ten times already. In the last week, nobody has even touched on the curriculum, the teaching materials, or how classes are actually being run... nothing. It’s just endless trolling and off-topic nonsense. If the mod team had actually enforced the rules strictly on that thread, you all would be crying to the FBI.

Ryan Vaughn7 said:What on earth is going on with this censorship? The thread was locked after reaching over 9,200 posts, and if you look closely, the most frequent contributors were actually the very people who spend all their time complaining here. It feels as though everyone has already voiced their opinion at least ten times over. In the past week alone, there hasn't been a single mention of the curriculum, the teaching materials, or how classes are being conducted... absolutely nothing. It is nothing but trolling and off-topic chatter now. If the moderation team had actually enforced the rules strictly on that thread, you would probably all be filing formal complaints with the FBI.

That simply isn't true.

It is certainly possible for certain threads to spiral out of control due to a lack of self-regulation, and I will concede that point.
However, if you take a moment to examine the links provided above, you might reconsider the idea that nothing is happening.
Just because The New York Times isn't covering a story doesn't mean the events aren't unfolding; and in this case, we even have coverage from The New York Times right here.

Sometimes topics just spiral out of hand. They slip past your self-control entirely. That’s just how it goes.
Look, just take a second to check those links above. If you really dig into them and think about it, it’s hard to argue that nothing is happening.
Just because The New York Times isn't covering it doesn't mean it's not happening. And in this case, you actually have The New York Times right here in the mix.

I was just thinking about that recent news regarding the investigation. It’s quite something, isn't it? I spent most of my morning reading through the latest report in The New York Times, trying to make sense of all the legal jargon. Honestly, it’s a bit exhausting. I’m not exactly an expert on federal investigations, but even I can see where things might have gone sideways. James Patel20 mentioned something earlier about the potential fallout, and I have to agree. It feels like we're watching a slow-motion train wreck. I tried to look up some specifics on the regulatory side, but my research led me down a rabbit hole involving old academic papers from Harvard Medical School. I ended up three hours deep into a study on neurological fatigue before I realized I hadn't even finished my first cup of coffee. Typical me. Anyway, back to the point. There's a certain level of unpredictability here that makes you wonder what the FBI is actually seeing behind closed doors. We only get the polished version of the story. It's a lot to digest. I'll try to stay updated, though I suspect I'll mostly just end up more confused.

Ryan Vaughn7 said:What kind of censorship is this, for crying out loud?

censorship is censorship—it's when people start policing free speech and deleting posts... you see it everywhere in the news and all over the internet.

Ryan Vaughn7 said:Over the last week, nobody has even mentioned the curriculum, the lesson plans, how classes are actually running... nothing. It’s just constant trolling and people going off-topic.

So why don't you just shut down those trolls immediately (and I don't mean the ones you're thinking of), the ones who grab onto one tiny part of a sentence just to derail everything into off-topic nonsense? How are you supposed to defend against that, or respond without blowing the whole thread wide open?

I mean, if the topic is a carrot cake, does that mean we aren't allowed to talk about the parsley garnish, or the vitamins and minerals found in the carrots? By your logic, that would also be "off-topic" since the subject is the cake, not the parsley vitamins.

I honestly don't get how we're supposed to discuss the curriculum without mentioning the people who wrote it, or maybe citing references that prove it's just unscientific idiocy. By strictly separating topics, you're basically tying our hands. And now you're defending spammers who can't provide a single shred of proof that there's any science behind this curriculum. I've asked twenty times for actual evidence so we could have an argumentative discussion. But no, I just get laughed at, my posts get twisted, and I never get an answer. Their only mantra is that implementing this stuff in schools is "good for society" and for the kids who won't make it in life without it.
Who is actually trolling here? Let some neutral people decide (if anyone even exists given how important this is).
