If we’re just looking at this objectively for a second, I have to say I really didn't see this kind of mess coming. I was expecting a strong first half followed by maybe some silly mistakes toward the end, but this? Not at all.

I honestly don't know if there's any way to fix this kind of thing moving forward, but it was an absolute circus. It was painful to watch.
Once again, we’ve been played, and it feels like it's happened more times than I can count. While we’re sitting here talking about integrity and fair play, everyone else is walking away with the gold medals.

We had a relatively easy training session in the round of sixteen, which leaves us feeling refreshed and ready to face whoever comes out of the matchup between France and Iceland.

A lot of people are already calling France the favorites, but there's really no point in celebrating before the job is actually done. It was probably a smarter move to dodge a brutal round of sixteen, especially if we would have ended up facing the Mexicans.
