Gives you goosebumps... Just being out in that vibe, one of those perfectly warm, carefree evenings in the city. 🙂

Look, I’m not really out here bumping Orgy or anything, and I wouldn't go so far as to say they're all that, but their take on Blue Monday is definitely my favorite—mostly just because of how much noise they pack in.

If I’m being a bit more objective though, I think Obsolete Orchestra actually did it better. They took a bunch of old-school junk and somehow made this whole messy mix sound tight and cohesive.

I'm not usually one for acoustic covers—especially when they're live—but man, sometimes you just find those rare gems... 🙂

The original track was actually by The Knife.

ps. also, can someone please walk me through how to embed a video properly so the thumbnail actually shows up instead of just a blank void?
Thx.

Just look at the code. You basically type out yt inside those little angle brackets, and then you just grab the specific string of characters from the URL right after the "v=" part and drop it in there.

I’ve tried tackling this from about four or five different angles now, but honestly, I’m just hitting a wall.

Which parts exactly should I be clearing out before I hit that equals sign?

vividjackal89 said:Just watched this. It’s heavy. Really hits home. It reminds me of those nights when everything feels like it's crashing down at once, much like that feeling when you're stuck in a dead-end job in Chicago or just staring at the rain hitting a window in Seattle. Sometimes music is the only thing that makes sense when nothing else does. Simple, but powerful.

I tried about four or five different ways, but nothing works.

What exactly should I be deleting before the "=" sign?

Here we go, step by step.

Smashing Pumpkins - never let me down Again Quote : The Smashing

The Smashing Pumpkins did a cover of that track, dropping it as a B-side on their 1994 "Rocket" CD single and including it on the Depeche Mode tribute album for The Masses. When talking about the version, Martin Gore mentioned he’d "always liked" how the Pumpkins handled it. Dave Gahan was even more blunt—he said he "particularly liked it" and actually thought it was "a lot better" than the Depeche Mode original.

Thank you Bask. TU, TU, TU.

I realize this might be a bit amateurish, but I think it's worth bringing up.
There was this one singer, Amy.

"Winehouse, performing at Coachella 2004 the very same year Sir Paul McCartney took the stage, dropped by PBS Arts to deliver a live studio cover of ‘All my Loving’. Winehouse, possessing a voice unlike anything else out there, beautifully transformed The Beatles pop classic into a soulful, romantic masterpiece."

If you consider yourself a rock fan, you seriously need to head over to her channel and check out these covers. This woman’s voice is incredible—she’s got this raw rasp and such an amazing stage presence. 😍

I’ll be honest, it didn't really hit me at first. It felt way too sappy, and I wasn't feeling how they kind of drifted into the chorus instead of just slamming into it—that sudden burst is what makes the original so great. But man, listening to it again after all this time... I think it's actually irresistible.

It just occurred to me that even if Akercocke had a track called Villagers of Ioannina City - Lex Talionis, they'd probably nail it:

On another note, this specific cover is one of my absolute favorites.

Look, everything about this might be beautiful and all, but honestly? Screw it—sometimes a female vocal just doesn't mesh with certain tracks, no matter how much you want it to. It’s just not hitting the mark. I don't care if the technical skill is top-tier or if she’s hitting every note perfectly; it’s just not the vibe. Period.

When you look at her, yeah—the visual impact is definitely there. It’s pretty striking, I guess.🙄

Well, damn it—it’s a woman's voice.

Man, screw the JU—honestly, a female voice would have sounded pretty damn good in that spot... I guess.

The remix didn't really do much for me—it just wasn't that impressive, I guess—but I’d honestly love to sit down and suggest a few things to that singer if I ever got the chance. Come Together

It’s certainly not everyone's cup of tea—but personally, I dig his covers. 🙄
P. S. Inace, this track is chronically irritating to me. 🙄

Johnny Depp and Jeff Beck just dropped their new album on the 18th. You’ve gotta check it out, especially this specific cover...

People absolutely tore it to shreds right from the jump. I haven't sat down to listen to the whole thing yet, but honestly? This Velvet
The Beatles cover doesn't actually sound half bad to my ears...

This cover is absolutely killer, even if I'm totally lost on the lyrics in a couple of spots.

Such a killer cover of 😍

In Spite Of Ourselves
John Prime & Iris Dement vs. Viagra boys & Taylor Swift

Some folks might find it a bit blasphemous—but I think it’s brilliant! It’s got this edgy, dark vibe that I’ve just been looping lately.

Forever Young
Alphaville vs. Salem

A little lazy on the musical side, sure, but the effect is just top-tier. It hits you right in the feels in such a weird way. No fresh starts here... music's played by the mad men.
