I feel like every time a major shift happens in any big league, there's always that one group of people clutching their pearls and acting like the world is ending because things aren't "the way they used to be." It’s becoming a constant pattern.

One side wants to keep everything exactly as it was decades ago, clinging to old-school structures like they're sacred relics, while the other side is just trying to adapt to how the world actually works now. It's exhausting to watch. It’s like they’d rather stay stuck in a specific era of history than admit that the landscape has fundamentally changed.

I remember when people used to complain about the same thing with broadcasting rights and how games were scheduled, and now we just accept it. But it feels like some organizations are actively fighting the inevitable just to maintain a sense of nostalgia.

Do you think these "old guard" mindsets actually help preserve the soul of a sport, or are they just holding back progress and making things more chaotic than they need to be?
