Why was this thread locked twice? - Politics

Why lock the thread about Dujmović shifting right? It didn't break any of the site's democratic rules.
And why move the Senate discussion into another thread? That’s a whole other issue right there.

I have an answer to that first question.

The reason is that right when this thread was started, everything happening within the intelligence community became relevant, tying directly into the ongoing debate about security agencies we've been having for two years now.
Personally, I’m not thrilled with the title, but the subject matter is certainly timely.

There are already threads covering Karamarko and Ostojić on the PDF. Given the current political scene and the discussions regarding Zoran Milanović's administration on the front page, I suspect adding yet another similar thread would just dilute the conversation even further.

That said, I get where you were coming from with your topic. Feel free to shoot me a DM if you want to bounce some ideas around; it’s definitely worth discussing over on the Politics board. No hard feelings.

I figured that’s how this would go. Even when one single event triggers a massive wave of noise across a dozen different topics, trying to reel it in is a lost cause. It’s hard to police once everyone on these forums gets hit with a sudden burst of "creative" energy. Keeping things focused in such a tight space is a nightmare.

Facts.
I’m opening this thread because Dujmović finally crossed the line. He’s spent his time insulting and belittling actual citizens—people who gathered with nothing but genuine intentions to make this country better. He wasn't even attacking the politics or the politicians; he was going after the people themselves. Why is that?
Look, I’m not exactly a fan of his, but I stumbled upon his latest column and just had to say something about how low this guy can sink.

Can this be unlocked and moved over to the political scene, or am I stuck starting a whole new thread with the same title?
