Who’s actually going to gamble on qualifying this Saturday? Who's going to wreck their qualifying chances just to set up the car for a rainy Sunday?
Mercedes? Ferrari? Caterham? 😁

I've got a feeling Sauber will be the ones pulling that stunt. Or maybe even Haas earlier on.

I don't see anyone doing much heavy math here. It just doesn't seem worth the headache.
We're at the point where you have to go full throttle even during FP.
When the field is this tight, qualifying is everything.

Maybe some tactical playing around, sureβ€”but only if someone can guarantee you your race pace between 2:00 and 3:30 PM on Sunday.

Alright, lookβ€”we let things slide yesterday, but there’s no messing around today.

You better watch out β˜•

Look, I honestly don't think RB will lose an ounce of pure pace.
But they could easily screw up on tire degβ€”you know, how long those things actually last.
We won't really know the actual damage until we hit those final laps of the race.

Yeah, during Free Practice 2 yesterday, Lenny Kravitz over at Sky mentioned that Webber's tires looked pretty worn out after only a few laps.

We'll see... Sebastian Vettel actually seems pretty capable at managing his tires when the temperatures climb.

Butβ€”and this is a big butβ€”they could easily get burned when it comes to tire degradation.
We won't really know the actual damage caused by this until we hit those closing laps of the race.

We'll see about that, I guess.

Alright then, let's get after it.πŸ™‚

Haha, I was just about to start typing this up.

Every single qualifying session this season, it’s the same thing. He complains about the car, the balance, the tires...

Give me a break. πŸ™„

Is it even worth discussing the current state of Ferrari? To put it bluntly, they are struggling. One has to wonder if the technical direction they've chosen is fundamentally flawed, or if they simply lack the execution required to compete at the highest level. It feels like we are constantly waiting for a breakthrough that never quite arrives.

The Ferrari situation is an absolute catastropheβ€”truly, a disaster of such proportions that one struggles to find a more pathetic way to describe it. How much lower can they possibly sink? 🀷

What on earth was that single-lap strategy? While the other favorites were busy pulling two flying laps to secure their positions, those Italians just couldn't seem to get it right. Is it really too much to ask for them to learn how to pace a race properly?

It would be a stroke of pure luck if we saw rain tomorrow; perhaps then the lack of competitiveness in these cars could finally be mitigated by such atmospheric conditions.

Based on everything we’ve witnessed, Lewis Hamilton absolutely earned that podium finish. However, with rain in the forecast for tomorrow, anything could happenβ€”as Neven CvijanoviΔ‡, a rather decent commentator if I do say so myself, pointed out just a moment ago.
