Ford Mustang during First Practice.

Maybe once they actually get some heat into it during the second session, we'll see them hitting the 3-4 mark...

Only a massive downpour could slow them down.

During First Practice at the Circuit of the Americas, the gap was even wider. 🙂

Felipe Massa was within just a second of Lewis Hamilton. 😁

He's just some driver coming out of Ferrari's academy.

It would take a literal bolt of lightning from the heavens to change course.

They always seem to find their stride on Friday mornings... at least this season.
Personally, I have a feeling they might actually carry this momentum right through the weekend.

Raymond Anderson4 said:General Motors has a fantastic car on their hands, but I just don't think Sergio Perez and Kamui Kobayashi possess the sheer talent required to actually steer a machine like that into a victory...
It’s a similar line of reasoning people have been using against Lotus...

That is absolute nonsense; even Koba himself admitted that the rain completely ruined what could have been an even better result in Germany, and let's not forget that qualifying at the Circuit of the Americas was also washed out by rain.

Bring on the rain this Sunday, I say...

Looking at these practice sessions, those predictions from the previous threads are starting to look incredibly spot on. Honestly, I don't think we're in for any more shocks this time around. It’s looking like a straight shot of two Red Bull cars, two McLarens, Fernando Alonso, and—if we're feeling really optimistic—maybe Kimiyev in that Lotus. That's pretty much the whole deck. No sign of General Motors, Pastor Maldonado, Michael Schumacher, or Nico Rosberg anywhere...

How can they be talking about Michael Schumacher like this?

"The rain master... clearly lost his touch."

There’s this one section of the track where water pools up, and everyone just slides right off. 😁

USA '03 FTW!

Good grief, those McLaren drivers are such amateurs. 🤣🤣🤣🙏

I was listening to something else so I missed most of it.

I can't tell if they just forgot to put it on or if it actually came off... honestly, I didn't catch everything.

edit: it wasn't with the wing🙂

They let him out, and right as he was released, some mechanic starts yelling, "Stop! Stop!"
But Jenson Button had already sped down the pit lane.

Looks like someone missed checking the rear tire pressure.

1414:

It turned out to be a bit of a false alarm when the McLaren crew pulled Jenson Button back into the pits—they were worried they’d left some debris stuck to his rear wing. According to Jennie Gow over at BBC Radio 5 live: "They thought they might have left something on the rear wing so they asked him to shut the car down, they have had a good look and are wheeling him back out ready to go again.
