Well, that's likely because Connery built such an incredibly diverse filmography—we're talking massive, career-defining roles—leaving behind a much more substantial legacy outside of his time as Bond.🙂

That being said, having a wide range shouldn't necessarily disqualify someone from being seen as the quintessential embodiment of a role they once mastered.🙂

And it's not just about Superman—Reeve was, is, and always will be an icon for pretty much every superhero out there.

P.S: Superman was my first hero and remains my all-time favorite to this day. I'll go through the whole list if someone tries to tell me that new Man of Steel (2013) guy is better, though without this music, half the movie is already lost to me (not that I even need to mention Reeve's impact)... anyway, we'll see. I'm waiting for it like a man dying of thirst. Someone actually has to make a great Superman after the Reeve era, and God willing, let this next one be the one... 🙂

Christopher Reeve as Superman was just legendary.
Robert Downey Jr. really nailed that role as Tony Stark. Seeing him step into the suit as Iron Man was just perfect.
Hugh Jackman as Wolverine.
Thomas Jane as Punisher.

👍 He’s standing on completely equal footing with Reev in this poll 🙂 which really just proves how much of a permanent mark he left on the role of Iron Man.
