Has nobody else seen this yet? I found it to be quite alright, I suppose. It certainly doesn't reach the heights of his absolute best work, though there are some decent moments—particularly that subplot involving Leopold and that singer in the shower.🤣.

I’m curious too—for instance, Midnight in Paris totally blew me away, so now I’m pretty much counting down the days until I can catch this 😁

I suppose I’ve always had a bit more of an affinity for Paris, though I can see why this might appeal to some people too.🙂

It’s a solid film... I’ll concede it doesn't quite reach the heights of Paris, but at least it feels fresh. Paris felt like it was just cobbled together from recycled characters we've seen a thousand times before. I gave this one a week of my time, and honestly, I feel somewhat privileged to share a planet with Mr. Allen. 😍

The moment I saw that guy singing under the shower for the first time, my immediate thought was, "Good grief, did King Allen really hire an actual world-class tenor to play a gravedigger?" Then I checked IMDb and realized 🙏

You definitely need to watch his other work too. It's basically identical to Midnight in Paris when it comes to the whole Rome vibe. Really easy on the eyes and ears. 🙂

I guess I’m the only one who couldn't even make it to the end of this one. Midnight in Paris was amazing, but this? This was just bad. I barely even made it halfway through, and normally I never turn a movie off... and honestly, I was actually looking forward to this one 😢

I just finished watching, and honestly, nothing but praise from my side! I was laughing non-stop—the characters are absolutely brilliant and their fantasies are just wild. Seeing Giancarlo the gravedigger in the shower was pure genius 😁
And then there's Benign with his breakfast routine and shaving bit. It’s hilarious, totally cool, and just so refreshingly unpretentious.

I pushed myself way too hard. 😁 As a huge Woody fan, I’ve gotta say—I'm pretty disappointed. These touristy tours he's doing around Europe feel totally pointless. Woody, just give us Manhattan back!
Benign and Penelope were great. The rest? Not so much. ☕

I’m quite a critic when it comes to Woody—to put it bluntly, I find him personally grating and just plain unpleasant, which leads me to avoid his films whenever possible. For instance, I actually found myself fast-forwarding through > because his mere presence tends to derail the entire viewing experience for me—whether it’s him lounging in his boxers or just his specific way of speaking... and yes, I realize that is precisely what makes him "unique," but for me, it’s a total dealbreaker. It isn't that I haven't seen his work, but any of his films where he isn't front and center are automatically better in my eyes. Perhaps it’s a bit superficial of me, but I simply can't help it.
As for >, I watched it purely because there wasn't anything else playing at the theater that caught my eye, and I was already in the mood for a movie night. The film itself is decent enough—it has a few funny moments, and most importantly, Woody doesn't pop up too often.

I have such deep admiration for Woody; his stamina is truly remarkable. To think he’s pushing eighty and still manages to churn out a film every single year—complete with scripts packed with enough dialogue to fuel five mediocre productions—is nothing short of extraordinary. And occasionally, he even steps in front of the camera himself.
The film itself is quite strong, though I found myself wishing for a slightly more cohesive thread to tie the vignettes together. That said, each segment is a riot in its own right. The sequence featuring Benign was easily my favorite, while the others were all equally delightful runners-up. It’s also genuinely refreshing to see Woody back in front of the lens after such a long hiatus.

Classic Woody film—anyone else a fan? You won't be disappointed...

Ugh, I had the exact same thought.😬 (I had no clue the guy was a pro singer.)
But honestly, with Woody, you can't be surprised—it's not like we weren't shocked when a Marshall McLuhan showed up in one of his movies too.😬

Nothing to write home about... It was largely a bore.🤷

Honestly, this flick beats Midnight in Paris any day. The plot is way deeper and more complex.
The acting was killer, and the characters felt totally real.

But man, the humor? Top tier. It actually stayed smart instead of relying on cheap jokes, though I guess Woody wouldn't even let that trash into his movies anyway 😁

My only gripe is that the movie kind of "glamorizes"—if that's even the right word—cheating.
So yeah, I won't ever truly love this one, but let's be real, it's an amazing film 🙂

was basically the ultimate anti-drug PSA. 😉 To me, the whole thing is a tribute to people who live these seemingly modest lives that are actually deeply fulfilling. It frames them as the truly privileged ones—those who find happiness and purpose in steady, reliable things, like solid relationships or lasting connections 🙂 by showing us exactly what happens when you have the opposite
