Bruce Springsteen in San Francisco, 6/11/2012

Picked up a ticket for San Francisco on Craigslist, supposedly for the stands. My wife grabbed it.🙂 Does anyone know where I can actually use this? It says "single fare," "free seating," and "reserved seat" all at once. What kind of mess is that?

From what I can tell, this just means there’s open seating. Also, quick question on "umtausch vorort an der abendkassa"—I'm assuming that means I need to swap my tickets at the box office? I think I've got the rest down, but "CURVA POSTO UNICA" is tripping me up. Any idea where that puts me in the venue?

1) First off, you grab your ticket at a physical box office window—which is exactly what I’ll have to do myself
2) Then you head over to the single, solitary seat marked as CURVO POSTO UNICA 🙂
3) It's general admission, so you just pick wherever you want to land

That’s more or less how I’m reading the situation

So I just grabbed my ticket through SeatGeek... ended up paying about $110. Has anyone actually dealt with these guys before? Just wondering how long it usually takes for the digital ticket to actually show up.

The whole situation with swapping tickets bought through Eventim is just plain stupid. I bought them directly from their site specifically so I wouldn't have to deal with the hassle of picking them up at the stadium box office on show day. They never mention anything about a swap during checkout. Then you get home, look at the ticket, and see this note—in German, no less—telling you that you still have to go to the venue's box office to get the actual ticket. Great! Just great. There’s going to be a line of several thousand people waiting at the box office in New York City. 😬

I’m really curious to see how they handle the fan pit lottery in Italy, and if they’ll actually follow their own rules. 😁

It all comes down to how Ticketmaster handles their specific little rules and restrictions... you just don't see that kind of nonsense in Washington, D.C. Honestly, what a headache. I guess we'll just have to catch up at the concession stand...

Is anyone heading out to the concert in Chicago? If anyone’s driving, I’d love to jump in and split gas or whatever—it’d be way easier than dealing with everything solo. Honestly, if someone happened to have an extra 🙂 lying around, that would be a total lifesaver, though I guess I should probably try to hunt one down myself first.

Does anyone have the actual details on whether I can swap my Oracle tickets in New York City a few days early? I’d really rather not risk missing out on the fan pit lottery because of some last-minute ticket exchange issue right before the show.

Wait, what do you mean you can't enter the lottery if you have Oracle tickets? And why do you even need a ticket just to get into a lottery in the first place? Honestly, I'm hoping to snag a spot in the Chicago lottery, but my tickets aren't even arriving until after 1:00 PM...

Wristbands go out from 8:00 to 12:00, and the drawing happens at 12:30, so you really need that ticket in hand before 1:00 PM. You need it specifically so they can verify you have floor access rather than just bleachers.

I reckon you should be able to enter the lottery using those Oracle tickets. Just grab your wristband first thing in the morning, then head over to swap the ticket at 11:00 once the box office opens up in New York City. Your best bet is probably just emailing the organizers to double-check—that's the only way to be sure. info@azalea.it

I sent an email to Oracle, though they clearly don't work weekends... anyway, my son and his girlfriend will be in New York City two days early and will try to swap the tickets at local outlets. We're coming from San Francisco—planning to hit the stadium by 8 to snag a wristband🙂 ... and hopefully land near the stage. That’s our only shot, since I'm heading to Washington, D.C. with my husband—he isn't exactly built for jumping around a field, so we just bought seats.🙂

The site I linked earlier just updated today—they're opening the ticket booths at 7 AM. That gives you plenty of time to swap out your tickets before the lottery starts, assuming you couldn't get it done a few days ago. Even the organizers finally realized how many people need to pick up or exchange tickets if they actually want a shot at the lottery. 😁

Do you think they’re gonna hand out those wristbands right at 8:00 AM sharp, or is there a chance it'll drag on until closer to noon? From what I gathered, there are about 1,500 of them, so honestly, it feels like they could probably knock that out pretty quick if they get moving.

Honestly, if this were happening in Minneapolis, they’d probably run out instantly, but in New York City, things might drag on a bit longer...
Back in 2009, when I showed up in Milwaukee around 2:00 PM, I ended up stuck in the 8th spot in line for the pit...
Bottom line: yeah, they have 1,500 wristbands, but they aren't just gonna sit there—they'll keep feeding people into the pit until every single one of them is gone.
