feralotter11 said:I find myself in complete agreement with the various sentiments regarding enrolling in computer science courses at the University of the Third Age.

Calling this "the third age" is a bit of an exaggeration; we’ve only just begun to actually enjoy ourselves.😍

I have come to realize, quite earnestly, how vital it is to practice the art of posting and engaging in discussions on this forum as frequently as possible. This particular message marks my very first attempt at contributing after finally sitting down for an introductory computer literacy course, and I sincerely hope I have managed to grasp the proper way to navigate all these various keys and commands. If this message manages to reach you, Paul Ward6, please do let me know if I am on the right track so that I might continue to improve my skills.πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜›

I must say, I would find that little icon featuring a cup of coffee and a newspaper much more appealing.

In addition to this digital one, I currently have a steaming, real cup of coffee right here next to my laptop. Having it by my side will surely help me practice my writing and messaging skills, and I am genuinely hoping that my next session will feel much smoother than today's attempt. It is such a beautiful afternoon out there, and I really ought to spend at least a little bit of time outdoors; after all, a bit of fresh air is exactly what we need to clear our heads from all these endless characters and icons. πŸ˜‚

Kudos to everyone here πŸ‘ I’m certainly not at the age for the University of the Third Age just yetβ€”though I sincerely hope I’ll retain half as much curiosity and drive as you all have when I get there πŸ™
It’s honestly striking how many peopleβ€”even those far younger than yourselvesβ€”struggle with basic things like switching channels on a TV, yet here you are, navigating the internet and engaging on a forum...

Do take some time to wander through the various threads; there’s plenty of interesting stuff for everyone, so don't be shy about sharing your thoughts πŸ‘

Just saw your post on the forum. Message received loud and clear. This is Paul Ward6, and I think you handled that perfectly.
You’re Gorilla, I’m Paul Ward6. Watch your step out there in the woods; I’m just blending into the grass. Look, Gorilla, we actually get along just fine. Honestly, I'm glad we're both at the University of the Third Ageβ€”there's still plenty left to learn. We've still got the drive and the willpower to go after new knowledge. We pack up our laptops, sling our bags over our shoulders, and head off to class with pride.
WE'RE HAVING A BLAST.

This school really gets it! I love how much freedom they give the instructors to work with the studentsβ€”huge props to the teachers here.

Today marks the official arrival of spring, and according to the latest weather forecasts, we are looking at an exceptionally warm season ahead, with those high temperatures likely stretching all the way through the summer months. I find myself wondering if you all are making the most of this beautiful shift in weather by spending your days out in the great American outdoors?

Finally getting around to posting something here. Not exactly feeling inspired right now, though... πŸ™‚
