I’m not entirely sure if there’s already a thread specifically targeting this exact issue—the stuff mentioned in the title.

I’d love to hear any tricks you all use to minimize or just outright avoid:
-lower back pain
-swollen legs
-bloating

Okay, so regarding the back pain—it's common knowledge that you really need to exercise, strengthen your core, and make sure you're stretching properly every single day. Plus, during work hours, I try to take these little five-minute breaks just to do some light stretching... though it's easier said than done.

As for the swollen legs, I’ve found that wearing comfortable clothes helps—definitely skip those skin-tight jeans. And if it's possible at your desk, having a footrest to keep your feet elevated can make a huge difference. 🤷

And then there's the third one... I’m honestly not sure how to dodge that. Maybe taking a quick walk after lunch? 🤷 But man, that one really gets to me. Everything feels fine until lunchtime hits, but afterward, I get this painful sensation in my lower abdomen—almost like a lump forming. It feels as if the air has somehow taken a wrong turn; instead of heading toward the exit, it’s like it got lost in the hallways and just doesn't know how to find its way out. 😂
Sometimes I have to head to the restroom just to move around a bit and try to work through it, but you can't exactly do that in a hurry. I suspect some yoga or deep belly breathing might actually help.

How on earth do you all survive the typical office ailments?

-back pain
Look, there's a huge difference between upper and lower back pain. Upper back issues usually stem from shoulder strain—if you just relax those shoulders, the tension clears up. But the lower back? I’ve noticed with myself and everyone else at my office that if we aren't staying hydrated during the day, the back pain hits hard. I don't know if it's hitting the kidneys or the spine itself, but if you knock back a liter of water over an 8-hour shift, people stop complaining about their backs. 🤷I'm talking about people of all ages here. Is it lack of movement or just plain dehydration? Who knows.

-swollen legs
Can't relate, so I haven't a clue.

-bloating
It's either eating way too much in one sitting or just eating garbage. For me, that cheap office coffee machine was killing me. Once I started brewing my own stuff at home, I was fine. Honestly, getting an intolerance test and doing a clay detox helped a ton. Cutting out the bad coffee and doing a quick detox works because you can't avoid shitty office coffee forever, and those toxins build up after a few months anyway. If you stick to smaller meals, you won't get bloated.
