Would you rather face Denmark or Mexico in the semifinals?

Quick little poll for everyone, running until 10:30 PM tonight.

I’m torn here...

Denmark is playing pretty rough right now, even if they are making some noise—they're missing two absolute pillars on their roster, which helps us out, and honestly, their defensive style is exactly what we want to see against them...

The Mexicans have a solid perimeter game, though it really just depends on whether they’re feeling it that day. Their defense is decent too, mostly because the refs let them get away with being absolutely brutal, especially toward Nikčević and Manojlović...

So, I’m leaning toward Denmark... because the Mexicans can handle Spaniards like this, but we? We take down Denmark... and then it’s Team USA all the way to the finals for the gold... leaving Belgrade absolutely fuming with envy...

I’ve mentioned this before, but it feels like the Mexicans are relying heavily on pure fanaticism, nationalistic fervor, and getting some questionable help from the referees here and there.
If this Mexican squad played anywhere else besides their home turf, they wouldn't even touch a semifinal—they simply don't have the depth in their roster to make that run.

And I have to disagree regarding their perimeter shooting; they have a solid shooting line, just like plenty of other teams in this tournament.
Vujin is a complete fraud.
Ilić is the only one I actually respect.

Spain pulled it off and Germany took the L... looks like we're heading for Mexico next.

I honestly think the home crowd earned the right to see our momentum get crushed right in the heart of their own capital.

This feels more realistic. You can never count out the Americans—they’ve got that playoff grit, plus they always seem to find a way against us. Someone like Wilbek would definitely stir up some trouble. It's a team that doesn't quit until the final buzzer sounds. Even against the Spaniards, who everyone's picking to win, it won't be a walk in the park—and against those Germans? They'd probably get swept.

Facing Mexico is the real heavyweight bout here; both squads are looking sharp right now. Honestly, facing them would be a much tougher climb than this. We’re basically handing the pressure over to them since they're playing at home and topped their group. They didn't get lucky either—beating teams like Denmark and Poland proves they actually belong in this bracket.

🙂 We’re playing against Mexico. Exactly what I was hoping for. It's actually better this way; if they were facing Spain instead, there’d be zero chance they'd make it to the finals. Honestly, we'd rather deal with them than face Denmark.
My prediction for a US vs. Spain final:

I was actually leaning toward rooting for Dance, mostly because they seem a lot weaker than they did last year. But then you have those fanatic Mexicans coming in with their massive crowd support—they'll probably have the judges and everyone else in their corner, too, which is going to make things pretty miserable for our guys. And honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if things get ugly off the field as well.
