So, I started this thread because when I look at the posts here, this is what I see (check the screenshot)

But then, once I save the image to my desktop and try opening it with any regular photo viewer, it looks like this

Just a heads up, this weirdness only happens when I'm browsing this Reddit

Haha, I haven't seen that one yet. So you're actually seeing the negative image? 😁

How are your avatars showing up on your end? For instance—is mine coming through as black or white?

How about avatars? Like, does mine show up black or white?

Your avatar is just a black silhouette with green eyes.
Most images look fine to me (hopefully, anyway—I don't download everything straight to my desktop)
But some of them are totally wonky.
Take this one, for example
http://www.reddit.com/post/example1
it shows up like this

whereas if I check out these posts, they look totally normal

Forgot to mention earlier that it’s not happening with every single image.

Have you tried opening those sites in a different browser? I honestly don't think this is an issue with Reddit—it feels more like something's acting up on your end, specifically with your browser settings.

...

Why don't you just delete a few of them?

Look, I need an actual fix here, not just some trial-and-error approach where we're just knocking things out one by one until something sticks.

Look, saying "it doesn't work" is a pretty useless way to describe a problem. It’s basically impossible to figure out what's actually broken without playing a massive game of trial and error first.
If you’d actually bothered to mention which browser you’re running, what kind of extensions you've got installed, or even just how your settings are configured... then maybe someone could actually point you toward the real issue.
