A bunch of people were pissed off because the organization sucked. That Grant set everyone loves? Honestly, it was pretty rough. Tons of people ended up hanging out in the parking lot just waiting for him to finally finish his set. I get that shows always run late so they can wait for the crowd to build up and sell more drinks at the bar.
Chuck didn't even start playing until after midnight on a weeknight, which is just wrong.
If you're gonna step up and organize gigs, be ready to take some real criticism, even if it stings. That's all I got to say. I'm done talking about this.

Not me. Just stating facts: everything was announced ahead of time, it was only about 15 minutes late, and Chuck Prophet started around 11:00 PM, not after midnight like you're claiming.

You're lucky I don't have anything to do with the Wilco show, but the promoter says it kicks off right at 9:00 PM... the guy is a pro, so you shouldn't worry about delays.

Is it too early to say this was easily one of the greatest shows I've ever laid eyes on? Because honestly, I think it might be true! 🙂

The logistics were actually super impressive—especially considering how unconventional the venue was—and the sound quality was pretty solid, even if it wasn't totally perfect. At first, Nelson’s guitar felt a little buried when it really needed to shine, which meant "Art of Almost" didn't hit quite as hard as it does on the record, but things leveled out quickly—and then "Impossible Germany" absolutely crushed it, just like you'd expect! 🙏
They tore through more than half of the Yankee album, including "Radio Cure" and "War on War." 😍
And man, there was this huge crowd of people shouting "I am trying to break your heart" way too loudly at the wrong times! 😍
The end of the main set, featuring "SOMETHING IN MY VEINS BLOODIER THAN BLOOD," 😍 couldn't have gone better. Then came the longest encore ever! It kicked off with a repetitive version of "Via Chicago"—which the drummer spiced up with these intense, nervous outbursts—😁, followed by the title track "Whole Love," and then a massive run of older hits, mostly from *Being There* and *Box Full of Letters*. The energy was infectious; everyone was singing along, and even the folks jumping around near me—and believe me, there were some quiet types nearby—were totally swept up in it. No talking, just pure music! 🙏 Wilco fans for the win! ♥

It wouldn't have been complete without them closing things out with "I'm a Wheel," though, let's be real, that's the only silly song they've got. 🤣

Thirty songs packed into two and a half unforgettable hours! 🙂

The acoustics were hit or miss depending on where you stood in the venue: quite subpar if you were stuck to the left of the soundboard, though it leveled out significantly once you reached the center, about twenty yards from the stage.
Wilco seemed to be in an exceptionally good mood, ready to deliver a killer set, though the crowd was a bit underwhelming—hardly anything approaching the energy levels you'd see at a sold-out show in Madison Square Garden.
Most people were pretty subdued and quiet at first, but they eventually woke up and started singing along with the band. They caught us all off guard with the length of the performance, too; I believe they played about thirty songs if my memory serves me right. All in all, it was a solid concert. I certainly hope we catch them again, though perhaps at a different venue next time...

Ugh, did you guys catch that Gall piece in today's Rolling Stone? 🤣 It’s just endless hype—"If you don't dig Wilco, you don't dig rock," calling them the "American Radiohead," some "mind-bending musical experiment," saying "Wilco isn't just a band, they're a phenomenon!" Just a non-stop barrage of praise like that. 😁 Look, I'm sure the show was killer, no doubt, and honestly, Gall has been basically a walking fanboy for this group for years now. 😁

It was actually pretty decent, I guess. Not that it took much effort to make it look good.

The concert was incredible. They were in such a great mood, just pure energy. 😍

That venue was stunning; the whole setup looked amazing.
