I was actually just about to mention that my absolute favorite track of theirs is Don't Let the Sun Catch You Crying, but you beat me to it 🙂—though I’d follow that up with Lovers in the Night any day. On the flip side, I’ve never really been able to get into Rosanna; I honestly don't understand why it's such a massive hit, though I wouldn't say I hate it, it’s just one of those things. Life happens, I guess. 🤷

They’ll talk about Metallica and go, "Oh yeah, I know their stuff: *Enter Sandman*, *Nothing Else Matters*, and *The Unforgiven*," and just cycle through the same tired hits over and over. 🙂

I was actually looking at picking up a TOT box set online. As for the metalheads? Honestly, I feel like I just stumbled headfirst into a bunch of idiots.

No, it isn't that; rather, certain self-proclaimed "music lovers" are simply hypocritical and refuse to give certain bands or singers a fair shake. It is as if they are terrified that if they enjoy something outside of their specific niche, they will lose their status as true metalheads, goths, ravers, or whatever else they claim to be.🤷
I remember looking at a complete 5-album collection in a CD shop in New York City for $33. It was incredibly cheap.

Yeah, you can find them at Barnes & Noble, and they actually have sales sometimes (saw it myself when I was picking up stuff by the Eagles, Bruce Springsteen, or The Police).

Look, if anyone is actually banking on a comeback from TOT back in 2011, I hate to be the one to break it to you, but they aren't releasing anything because of all those messy legal battles

It would feel incredibly strange if it hadn't dropped yet, especially since it was slated for release this past spring.

I caught an interview with Steve Lukather where he mentioned it might not even come out, maybe in a year or two. Basically, Toto signed with Mascot, but then their old label, Frontiers, started claiming they still own the rights. Nobody is allowed to say anything official about the legal mess. The only silver lining is the new Lukather album and the DVD Ringo Starr featuring Steve singing Hold the Line, Rosanna, and Africa!!

Has nobody actually brought up "Bottom of Your Soul" yet? Honestly, it’s incomparable—probably their best track, or at least right up there with "Africa" for sure. 🙂

I stumbled upon this—honestly, it’s one of my all-time favorites, though they rarely play it live for obvious reasons. Jeff Porcaro was clearly in some kind of zone when he nailed this solo.
