Hey,
I was wondering if anyone else experiences this: when you’re lying in bed at night in a dark room with your eyes closed, but you're still conscious, you see these tiny flashes of light whenever a sudden sound breaks the silence. It’s almost like my ears and eyes are wired together. For instance, I’ll be lying there and hear a floorboard creak in my apartment, and I’ll get this millisecond flash right before my eyes. Or maybe a neighbor slams their door in the hallway, or even just the house settling—like when the heat kicks on after a cold day and the wood expands and makes those little popping sounds. Basically, any noise that disrupts the quiet seems to trigger a quick, sharp white flash.
It probably sounds ridiculous, but it happens all the time. It isn't exactly debilitating, but I'm curious if anyone else deals with this and what might be causing it.
Could it be some kind of nerve issue?
Thanks.

Is it a nerve issue?

Thanks for getting back to me. Does anyone have any suggestions for something to take before bed to help me "bypass" this? Maybe a glass of wine or something similar right before turning in? 😁

I can't believe we're actually sitting here talking about this. It's absolute madness. Total insanity. We are witnessing a complete breakdown of common sense, and frankly, I’m losing my patience with how everyone is just letting it happen! kaže:
Thanks for getting back to me. Look, I need some actual suggestions here—how am I supposed to "bypass" this? What’s the move before hitting the hay? Should I just knock back a glass of bourbon to take the edge off, or what? 😁

Listen, if you actually want to get some decent sleep for once, you need to stop sabotaging yourself. First off: turn on some relaxing music. Something mellow, something that doesn't require your brain to actually process lyrics. And for the love of everything holy, quit the heavy workouts right before hitting the hay! You can't expect your body to just shut down after a high-intensity session at the local gym. It’s basic biology. Relax the mind, chill out the body, and maybe—just maybe—you'll actually wake up feeling human tomorrow.
