Tyndall, please take over the ŽK administration

because Sašenjka clearly lacks both the patience and the objectivity to handle it.
I don't know why he's constantly on edge—or why he’s picking fights with certain people—but I'm relatively new here and I'm already completely fed up with him sticking his nose into everything... the double standards, the way he ruins every possible discussion just because someone touches his fragile ego. Not to mention that one time he posted here on Amtrak explicitly stating that "this is an American forum and obviously Americans should have more rights here," which isn't just a total nonsense statement, but it also flies in the face of US law and the rules of this forum. The administration's decision to allow someone to spout such nonsense is... well, let's just say it leaves a lot to be desired.
If he can't handle the moderation style or the way people communicate on ŽK, then maybe he should find something less demanding to do, and just call it a day.
The subforum isn't some chaotic mess, nor is there anything major going on there; the mods are perfectly fine—they even tolerate oversized images (😁)—and ŽK is really the last bastion of decent communication. There's honestly no need to stomp in there like a bull in a china shop.

Anyway, to make a long story short, Tyndall, please consider swapping Sašenjka with someone else for a different subforum because this just doesn't make sense... everyone on ŽK gets on his nerves anyway, and they aren't exactly docile little children like the ones over on ŽuD who just sit there and take it. 🤷

Edit — since I didn't specify exactly what I mean by "grinding," take a look at the disproportionate number of klonkin's and lastanov's posts that were deleted versus those that weren't, the imbalance in points... and if you feel like it, maybe spend a little time looking at the regular banter in the thread where the "problems" actually started. If you do, it'll become pretty obvious to you what I'm actually talking about.

This isn't moderation—especially not in a mystery thread. The guy showed up to join a casual discussion, only to suddenly start acting like some strict drill sergeant for no reason at all. Even if what Lastan and klonkin said later technically counts as "commenting on moderation" in a formal sense—it's not like this forum is Saša's personal PDF file. He clearly doesn't get it, and logically, or by any other standard, those comments aren't actually about the moderation itself... What Saša pulled here isn't even remotely close to actual moderation.

Moderators are supposed to guide the conversation and keep topics on track—but to do that effectively, they really ought to have a decent grasp of the subject matter they're overseeing... It’s hard to moderate something you don't actually understand. Beyond that, using a show of authority to shut people down or leaning into sarcasm and provocation just to mess with long-term users—well, there's simply no excuse for that kind of behavior in this thread...

Even he got handed a red card for this one.

Edit: So, wait—under which specific site rules does something worth 500 points get wiped away just because of an apology? The site is full of people offering apologies, yet they don't get unbanned. From what I can see, it seems like he actually knows he broke the rules, but he just doesn't have the guts to admit it—so instead, he puts on this act of being a saint seeking forgiveness, once again ignoring the actual Forum rules. I hope it’s clearer now why and how Lastan and the others lost their cool.

Honestly, I don't think ZGsahs really gets what's actually going on at the local precinct, especially when it comes to all those weird little mysteries floating around.

Those of us who frequent that corner of the internet have been hanging out there forever, and we tend to keep things pretty laid back—which, for the longest time, didn't bother anyone, and from what I can tell, nobody's going to take offense if someone gets mentioned in a thread. The sheer amount of traffic on those posts says more than enough about how good the content was and why it shouldn't have been messed with in the first place.

And seriously, you guys need to take another look at those bans for Lastan and the rest of the crew; they're way over the line.

I don't see why the Law & Order board is being brought into this. If you have issues with how L&O is moderated, go ahead and say so, but I have to point out that the folks posting there aren't exactly terrified children, nor are they just talking nonsense.
The Law & Order section is more strictly moderated, but there's a reason for that, and comparing it to General Discussion doesn't make much sense. If people were actually just wasting time, I suspect Amtrak would be flooded with complaints against us, which hasn't happened.

The main sub-forum is more strictly moderated, but there's a good reason for that—it doesn't really make sense to compare it to the general chat area. Even if things seem a bit extreme sometimes, I don't think Amtrak would be flooded with complaints against us, which hasn't happened.

This isn't about you or Nico, but it definitely has everything to do with Saša—who, honestly, when he goes in there to clean things up, the grass practically stops growing. I've asked Tyndall to take a look at this; if you guys don't know what's going on, or if you're afraid to speak up, or something else entirely... just please refrain from off-topic comments. I'd really love for this thread to make it to its conclusion in one relatively cohesive piece...

As Michelle Phillips54 pointed out, the ŽuD subreddit is much more strictly moderated. There’s actually a very logical reason for that, though. Since you have all three sides of a marriage triangle playing out in one thread, things get incredibly delicate. It only takes a single second for the whole thing to spiral into total chaos.
