I'm trying to figure out why, when I'm messaging someone, the subject line ends up with a thousand Re:Re:Re:Re..?

It’s fine enough when I'm dealing with the moderators—that’s expected—but seeing it happen with regular users is a different story. Honestly, it's getting a bit grating... 😢

Is it happening with all the regular forum users too?
My theory was that this issue pops up when someone sends a PM from their phone.
But, I guess I could be wrong. It doesn't happen to me very often.

I wouldn't know—I don't bother messaging just any random person on these forums—but it's entirely possible your explanation is spot on. 🤷

I assumed it was pretty obvious that when you say "just with all the regular forum users," you're referring to the specific people you actually chat with, rather than the entire 273,000 members on Reddit.

Is there any way to make it so the system doesn't track my sent messages? I'm looking for an option to turn off those read receipts and all that extra stuff.

Options—Edit options—Messaging & Notifications—uncheck the last one. 😉

When you're sending a PM, just make sure to check the box that says "Save a copy of this message in your Sent folder."

Edit: Or yeah, that^^—but honestly, if you don't actually click "Save a copy of this message in your Sent folder," nothing is going to show up in your sent items at all.
