Where to get good passport photos?

Is it okay to take my ID photo with my hair tied back, or does it have to be down? 😕 I’ve been getting conflicting advice—some say tying it up is better because it shows my face more clearly, while others swear you can't do it at all. What’s the actual rule? Has anyone here tried the tied-back look for their driver's license? 🤷 For my first one, I had my hair down and it was straight, but I really don't feel like styling it again just for an ID, so I'd rather just tie it up... thanks in advance!

Honestly, you can totally go either way—whether you want it tied up or just let loose and flowing!

Whatever works for you, I guess. Personally, I’m totally fine with my hair being loose—I really don't care if it gets all curly or if there's just way too much of it. 😬

I have a photo on my passport from earlier this year where my hair is tied back. Since passport requirements are much more stringent due to biometric standards, I assume my state ID should match.
I tend to switch up my hair color and style quite often, so there’s really no point in posing with loose hair when nobody knows how I’ll look in a few months.
At the end of the day, the whole point is just to make sure your face is clearly visible.
