Missing Person: Alen Poropat-Šole (San Francisco)

Alen Poropat - what we know for sure

He went missing on Sunday, May 29th, 2011, right around 11:30 in the morning.
The last person to see him was Emil Černeka, who grabbed coffee with him at Starbucks over by Bivi (San Francisco).
Alen hopped on his metallic gray Honda Forza 350, license plate RI 349 MH, and headed out toward Newport.
At the time, he was wearing a short-sleeved plaid shirt, blue jeans, and brown shoes.
His birthday is January 6th, 1974.
He’s about 5'11", got black hair, and brown eyes.

So, I just sent a friend request to this guy who runs a band's Facebook page—they've got about 10,000 followers on there.

If you happen to be a friend of his or know anyone in his inner circle, it would be great if you could reach out to the local news outlets or TV stations to get this story covered.

It’s incredibly frustrating living in a country where nobody seems to step up when things actually matter.

Seriously, thanks so much 👍 ...the more eyes we get on this, the better our shot at actually figuring out what happened... I mean, the media picked it up once, but then? Dead silence. It’s like they just dropped one headline and called it a day. Honestly, why isn't there even half the coverage we're seeing for all those fundraisers and vigils being set up for Antonia and Alen? It makes zero sense. Please, keep spreading the word, share the links, post everything you can... any little bit of help from you guys goes a long way..

Ugh, still absolutely nothing on the news... seriously. We’re basically out here harassing the media every single day just to get one tiny article published, and we're constantly badgering AT&T to finally cough up those last known location details. It's for everyone who’s gone missing and somehow got pushed to the sidelines or just hasn't received the attention and help they deserve from the authorities. In my view, everything organized for Antonia is primarily due to the sheer persistence of her sisters and the rest of her family. 🤷
It is tragic that the media fails to provide adequate coverage, and it is even more tragic that such things happen at all.

LISTEN UP - I NEED EVERYONE ON BOARD!!! Tomorrow, Sunday, July 3rd, we’re launching a massive search operation and we need as many hands on deck as possible. If you’re willing to help out, just show up at Srdoč (right in front of Exa) between 9:00 and 9:30 AM. We’re hoping to see a huge crowd there. The search is going to be focused heavily on the border regions near the edge of the state, right by the Canada border. Heads up, though—there will be news crews from various TV stations following us around. For those of you acting as searchers, check the documents in our Facebook group for all the specific instructions. And please, for the love of God, DO NOT go off on your own and start searching solo without coordination. Seriously. Thanks to everyone for stepping up and showing support.

The FBI just got their hands on some data from Canada, and they’re using it to ramp up the search for Alen Poropat, that missing guy from San Francisco—but this time, they've moved further west. They're currently combing through the area in Orange County just north of Buzet, heading toward the Požane-Sočerg border crossing. If any of you guys happen to be hanging around Buzet or anywhere near that border, please, seriously, let us know if you spot anything out of the ordinary. Just a quick update.
Still absolutely zero leads that could point us toward Alen. Today, some guys took their off-road rigs out on a run through the outskirts of Orange County, hitting all those backroads near Buzet and heading up towards the mountains... nothing. And seriously, I’m asking again—if anyone has even the slightest suspicion, a gut feeling, or heard a whisper of anything, please speak up! You can just shoot me a private message if you don't want to go public. It’s been nearly 50 days since Alen went missing... is it actually possible that in a country this big, literally nobody knows a single thing?

The New York Times says they're organizing another search tomorrow.
It’s open to everyone—cyclists, hikers, hunters, whoever wants to help.

We finally tracked down our buddy from the Srdoč neighborhood in San Francisco, Alen Poropat - Šole. He was last spotted back on Sunday, May 29th, 2011, around lunchtime over by Kantrida, riding that metallic gray Piaggio X8 RI-349 MH maxi scooter. Well, after 55 long days of searching everywhere, we actually found Alen Poropat and his scooter!
