Is anyone else running into these glitches? πŸ˜•

1.) I can't find any way to INSERT IMAGE on the Hazelnut forum, even though uploading images to posts works perfectly fine everywhere else.

2.) When I try to edit, after I hit save, I end up with a NEW POST instead of an update. It’s like my original message and the edited one both stay live. I have no idea what I did wrong because I followed the usual routine: click edit and save then save. 🀷

3.) Under the edit menu, the DELETE POST option is completely missing. Again, this is only happening on the Hazelnut subforum; I checked several other sections and the option works normally there. 🀷

EDIT: Okay, I just double-checked everything on this PDF, and everything works fine: images, editing, and deleting posts.

1. It is my understanding that posting images on Hazelnut isn't permitted, if I recall correctly.

As for those other two issues, I can't say for certain. It’s entirely possible your session timed out at the exact moment you attempted to edit and save, or perhaps the same thing happened when you tried to delete. Those options tend to stay active for a little while, but they don't stick around forever.

Yes, posts can be deleted within a specific window after they are published. After that, you can't. I believe it's about 90 minutes.

The post was edited in less than a minute. As soon as I realized I'd double-posted, I tried to delete it IMMEDIATELY, but the option to delete just wasn't there. 🀷

It doesn't really matter; I'm sure the moderators will just delete any duplicate posts πŸ₯³

It is entirely possible that certain subreddits have their own specific criteria for being established. These rules might differ from the standard defaults used by most other subforums.

When it comes to the whole process of having to edit and save your posts, it’s pretty much the same experience here as it is anywhere else on the web. I honestly can't wrap my head around why Grace Anderson3 seems to be struggling with such a straightforward task.🀷

Look, I’ve checked, and both the edit and delete functions are working just fine on my end. 🀷 Grace Anderson3, you should probably go bug one of the admins and have them take a look at what’s actually showing up in your profile settings.

Nothing actually gets saved to my profile
I guess the forum just had one of those classic technical meltdowns

It’s not working for me either. And those double posts? They haven't been deleted. I mean, it hasn't happened in a little while, but I noticed the exact same thing as Grace Anderson3.

Quick update: the edit and save option is finally working properly (no more double posts), but I still can't see the delete button anywhere. 🀷

There's no option to deleteβ€”not even after waiting a few seconds. 🀷

Wait, hasn't it always been this way with the hazelnut trees? 🀷
At least that’s how I remember it when I was going through those PDFs.
Or am I just losing my mind here? πŸ€”
You guys have me totally confused :zbunj: πŸ˜• 😁

yeah
back in the day on Reddit, there was this whole trend where people would get really "clever" by baiting someone into an argument just so they could delete their own post immediately afterβ€”it was all just these little manipulative games
