Idea for a new moderator rotation policy (auto-selection after 1-2 years)

1. As we all know, power is always temporary.

2. Some people hold authority for a single day, others for four years, and a lucky few manage to maintain influence for a lifetime—often passing it down through their own family lines.

Since we live in a democratic country where leadership changes periodically according to our laws and election cycles, I’d like to propose that the forum administration considers implementing a system of rotation. Perhaps after one or two years, "by the force of forum law," moderators could be cycled out or moved to different subforums if they wish to stay active elsewhere.

I truly believe that introducing this kind of "democratic mandate" for moderators after a set term of service within our "forum government" would significantly improve how things run. It would help reduce complaints about arbitrary moderation stemming from personal biases against certain posters or other subjective issues that sometimes crop up.

(I’ve also set up a poll because I'm genuinely curious to hear what the forum jury thinks about improving moderation quality and fostering a more peaceful exchange of ideas here.)

Democracy is really just this failed social experiment where a majority that's both incompetent and easily swayed gets to pick the leadership.

Most people—and let's be honest, that includes most folks on internet forums too—are generally too flighty to actually choose the right path, so frankly, it's probably for the best that we aren't running on a democratic model here.

The poll is pretty much irrelevant since this isn't a democracy.

Look, there isn't really a jury here, but the high court thinks that's total nonsense.
