It has been about two and a half weeks now since I developed this hematoma from a Voltaren injection—right in the glute area. While the large, soft swelling has subsided somewhat, along with the bruising, there remains this persistent lump... it is quite painful and hard to the touch. Honestly, I am starting to lose my mind a little bit because I have to constantly adjust how I sit or lie down just to avoid discomfort—and heaven knows, if I accidentally lean on that specific spot, I end up whimpering like a wounded puppy. For the last few days, I’ve been applying some Heparin gel, but so far, there hasn't been any noticeable change.
I was wondering—should I continue to avoid using those various anti-stretch mark or cellulite creams? You know, those little things filled with herbal extracts that provide a warming or cooling sensation. Specifically, I have a jar of Bio Essence stretch mark cream that I really ought to finish up soon. Or, on the contrary, would it actually be advisable to apply products designed to stimulate blood circulation in the tissue? To be perfectly clear, I am referring strictly to the application of the product itself—I certainly have no intention of massaging such a sensitive area.
Additionally, I am curious: after how much more time spent "cohabitating" with this lump should it be considered wise to visit a doctor? (I suspect that if I were to go in right now, they might simply tell me I'm wasting their time and suggest I just stick with the gel.)
Thank you all in advance! 🙂
(By the way, if you feel this belongs in the cosmetics section, please move it to this thread. Much appreciated.)
