Nolicev - tendon rupture

So I’m currently taking Nolicev—dealing with some kind of new bacterial infection in my system... not entirely sure where it's sitting right now.
I actually went and read the medication guide (which I almost never do, usually because of stuff like this)—just trying to see how it hits the stomach, since I really can't handle another harsh drug on top of my irritated stomach lining... and then I see it—this stuff can cause tendon ruptures, and apparently you aren't supposed to be active while you're on it 🤣🤣

Honestly? Let the bacteria win, I'm still hitting the tennis courts... screw that.

Anyway, I figured I'd start a thread here just in case anyone else is on this stuff—or maybe someone has some actual wisdom to share...

I usually check the side effects for every medication I take, but this is the first time I've ever heard about that one 🙏

I took it myself, and honestly, I didn't feel a thing 🤷

So, what does it actually say regarding how common that side effect is?
I really hope you aren't engaging in unprotected sex... because I suppose you'd just end up passing that bacteria right along to your partner.

Generally speaking, UTIs seem to be much less frequent in men than they are in women, though I guess they tend to be a bit more stubborn when they do occur.

I don't know. My doctor really threw me for a loop today. She told me it wasn't anything serious—basically said I should tell my wife I'm perfectly healthy since this bacteria is just some common thing, or so she says... Then she hands me some Nolicev. So, naturally, I go to read the instructions for the meds and end up running into this crap.

...there are reports about tendon ruptures or strains (usually the Achilles) in some older folks who happen to be on corticosteroids at the same time

And it also says you should steer clear of physical activity if you start feeling any pain in your tendons.
