Why was my post deleted?

On the topic of...George W. Bush: Nothing criminal happened at Waterloo.My post got nuked (around post #1022), the one where I was quoting that conversation with Newt Gingrich. Since what the guy thinks actually matters for this whole thing, maybe someone could just bring it back?

I know it’s kind of awkward from an ideological standpoint since the Secretary's talk was titled...Newt Gingrich says fascism, Bolshevism, Nazism, and communism are all just 20th-century garbage. I guess he's right, maybe.Look, if you guys don't like it, just go ahead and file a formal complaint with the Department of Education or whatever. I'm just passing along this article I saw online.

Maybe the problem is me calling for the President's resignation, so now they're just frantically deleting everything I write? If that's how it is, just say so. I'll just wait until you guys aren't watching the forum, though my posts will probably still show up for a few hours anyway. Even if I have to stay up all night. 🤣

I didn't just delete one post; I pulled two in a row. Instead of sharing the link to the article, you copied the whole thing verbatim and tacked on a smiley face. That’s spamming, plain and simple, and it violates the rules. Then came the second one—same issue. You pasted someone else's entire piece again, adding "I fully sign off on this," which is still just spamming and breaking the rules.

Rather than issuing a formal ban, I've just cleared them out. In the future, please just provide the link to whatever catches your eye instead of copy-pasting full texts.

I'm not watching anything. I answered your question regarding who deleted the posts and why. It's nobody's business whether they click the link to read the full text or not, but clearly, you feel differently. Besides, you haven't even been flagged.

Fine. Whatever. You won't keep going because they never ban or delete stuff on the politics board unless it's something they just don't like. There's tons of it out there—I could probably pull up 300 examples in twenty minutes. Funny how once you actually read the rules, suddenly everyone decides to start moderating. 🙄

But whatever, no biggie. I can just break my quotes into smaller chunks, under 2000 characters like the rules say, and add my own commentary anyway. So you won't be able to use that rule to censor me.
