My discharge papers are listing sacroiliitis Bill Gates 4+. Now, I’ve managed to wrap my head around the sacroiliitis part, but this remaining bit of the diagnosis, Bill Gates 4+, is completely incomprehensible to me... I would truly appreciate some assistance if anyone could shed some light on this 🙏
thanks😕

"Bill" is actually short for bilateral—which basically means the changes are mutual and two-sided.

To be perfectly honest, I haven't the slightest clue what DR4+ refers to? It sounds suspiciously like some kind of medical grading system used to track disease progression, though I've certainly never come across anything quite like it before. 🤷

So, I’ve got this one question that feels like it fits perfectly right here...

For the last couple of days, I've been dealing with these absolutely brutal headaches. It's mostly centered right above my nose, you know, that spot where your eyebrows meet? Since I've been struggling with a nasty cold and some flu stuff for about a week now, I'm thinking maybe it's a sinus thing, or I don't know... I guess. Anyway, if anyone has any actual smart advice or knows what might be going on, I'd seriously appreciate it. 🙂

That sounds like a sinus infection for sure. You'll probably need antibiotics, but you really ought to see a doctor so they can check you out and write a prescription.

Yeah, that was pretty much the deal... antibiotics cleared everything right up😁

I finally figured out what this DR 4+ actually means... It turns out it's just a positive HLA typing for DR4, which really leaves me at a total loss since the report also claims there isn't even a single trace of any acute inflammation present...

Does anyone actually understand what this means or how one even goes about treating it?
From the medical report:
According to the bone scan results, there is bilateral sacroiliitis present, though there is no HLA predisposition and no signs of acute inflammation.
As for the HLA typing, the HLA DR 4 is positive, while everything else came back negative...

according to the bone scan findings, bilateral sacroiliitis is observed, though there is no HLA predisposition and no signs of acute inflammation.
regarding the HLA typing, the result shows HLA DR 4 + (positive), while everything else came back negative.

Can anyone provide some insight on this situation?

Here’s some info on HLA typing:

And here is the Wikipedia page for HLA DR4 - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HLA-DR4

Not sure how much of this actually helps you. Honestly, your best bet is just asking the doctor who ordered the test to walk you through what the results actually mean.
