So, I’ve been dealing with some serious stomach issues and just got discharged from the hospital about two months ago. For the first month, my psychiatrist had me on a combo—a quarter dose of Eglonyl and half a Deprozel to deal with the gastric nerve stuff. Then, a month later, she cut out the Eglonyl entirely and bumped me up to a full pill of Deprozel once a day. Anyway, my appetite has absolutely tanked. When I first walked out of the hospital, I was sitting at 128 lbs, and now I’m at 136 lbs. That’s an 8 or 9 pound gain in two months—is that actually a good sign?🤷
I’m gonna give her a call as soon as I can swing it with my schedule to ask how I can get my appetite back up.
Has anyone else dealt with this? Any tips on boosting appetite? I’m struggling with gastritis, and my TSH levels crashed while I was in the hospital—it’s stabilizing now, though. My last reading was 6.9. I’m not on any thyroid meds right now, but I’ve got bloodwork scheduled again in ten days, so I’m hoping everything looks normal by then.
