Can mods have their DMs turned off?

Personally, I’m of the opinion that they really shouldn't be allowed to do that. ☕

Personally, I think moderators should be legally required to have their DMs disabled. When they can receive messages, people inevitably start hitting them up with all sorts of nonsense. And then, in that tiny 7% of cases where a mod is just completely fed up, you end up being so relieved to get any response at all that you don't even care if they insulted you in the process. That's just how our wonderful mods operate. 🙏

Honestly, I feel like moderators should be legally barred from even having an open inbox. It’s just asking for trouble, right? You send them a message, and then boom—you're suddenly getting attacked out of nowhere. And let’s be real, in that tiny 7% of cases where they actually decide they don't give a damn and bother to reply, you end up feeling weirdly grateful just to get a response, even if they basically insulted your entire existence in the process. I gotta say, I’ve never had a day like this before. Not once have I gone a full twenty-four hours without getting a response from a mod or an admin. Like, seriously? A hundred percent response rate in under a day? Honestly, I think that’s more than fair. Isn't that just wild?

I’d argue that it really all comes down to how you phrase that private message.
If someone decides to go nuclear on me over some trivial nonsense, I don't think it’s exactly reasonable to expect a reply within 24 hours... or ever, for that matter.
