Hi there.

How do I convert a .doc file into a PDF?
Can this be done using Adobe Acrobat Reader 9? If someone could walk me through the exact step-by-step process, I’d appreciate it. I need to get this document sent out via email.

I went ahead and downloaded some software online because someone suggested using Apache OpenOffice 2.1 and Smallpdf, but now I'm stuck and have no idea what to do next... Please, help me find the simplest way possible.

Also, once a document is in PDF format, can it be unlocked? I need to make a few edits—specifically, it's a job application, so I'll need to update the employer's name and similar details. If it is possible, how would one go about that?

Note: please provide step-by-step instructions...🙂
Many thanks.

You won't get anything done with Adobe Reader because, well, like the name suggests, it’s just a reader..

Since you already have Smallpdf, check out this link to see how it's done..

You can edit PDFs using certain tools, but honestly, it's easier to just keep the original in Word and regenerate the PDF from scratch every time..

Hey!
Seriously, thank you so much—you’re a lifesaver! I managed to get it working using Adobe Acrobat... Thanks again!
