HP PSC 1500 - text printing issues

Ugh, I’ve got a bit of a situation here—whenever I try to print something, the text comes out all crooked instead of sitting straight on the page?! Like, why does everything have to be a struggle? Does anyone have any clue what might be causing this?

Printers like that have side guides on both sides of the paper tray that you need to push in flush against the stack to make sure everything feeds right. If those guides are too wide, they won't line the paper up properly, which means the rollers pull it unevenly—that’s exactly why you're running into the issue you mentioned.
