Umbilical hernia surgery: what to expect?

So my old man just got back from the doctor, and apparently he’s dealing with a hernia.
Does anyone know where in Chicago we can get this handled ASAP? He’s really trying to avoid taking any sick leave, so I was thinking maybe a private clinic or something would be faster?

As far as I know, you’ll get seen fastest at a major hospital like Mayo Clinic. To be honest, I highly doubt any private clinics in the States even perform those kinds of procedures... besides, these days it's such a routine operation that you could show up on a Friday and be discharged by Monday.
