Hey there! πŸ™‚

It feels like no matter what I try typing into Google Search, I just end up hitting a total dead end with zero results.

For instance, I just sat here and wrote a reply containing the word "iPhone," and yet the search engine isn't picking up a single thing 🀷 does anyone have any idea why this might be happening?

The thing is, you need at least five characters; it won't even bother looking for anything shorter than that. It’s set up that way to keep the server from melting under the pressure, I guess. Personally, I think it's a bit muchβ€”most forums I've been on only have a three-character limit. 😡 But honestly, given how this server struggles just to stay upright, I'm just happy it's running at all. 😁

But then why on earth isn't it pulling up anything at all, even when I'm typing in "iPhone"? 😒

Because both words are under five characters. If you want to search this forum (especially for short terms), try doing it like this:

It’s pretty interesting that this isn't the only flaw with our version of Google Search. There are certain words it just can't seem to digestβ€”for instance, if you try searching for the word cause, it won't turn up a single result... And I’m fairly certain there are plenty of other words that just don't make the cut. 🀷

Man, you’re making this way more complicated than it needs to be... honestly, the server isn't going to crash just because you leave out two letters. 🀦

The problem is they actually want to do it. It’ll tank the server speed, which is already struggling as it is. They should just scrap it entirely and let everyone use Google Search instead...

It finds it for me without any trouble, I guess.
