Exactly, that wasn't meant as trolling, it was actually just a direct insult to the members here. I went with the trolling route because it earns fewer points, but if you really want me to change my approach, we can easily switch things up... just say the word.
(The user papilona is actually using Mary Carica's nickname on another forum, so let's be real, it’s a total insult, even if it is thinly disguised.)
I honestly don't know how you can even have the nerve to lash out like that... just try being decent and people will be decent to you.
Don't give me any reason to hand out warnings, and you won't see any... it's really as simple as that.

She claims I ratted out other users just so I could "get what I wanted," as she puts it—to look more credible. Apparently, her "proof" is that certain former mods, like diaspora keyi and angelini39, got their access revoked in the mod corner!

If Mary was being insulted over there, you really ought to reach out to the moderators of that specific forum and ask them to penalize the offensive post, right? Why would you even ask us about it? We don't have any authority over what happens on a different board...
I only look out for things happening here. And James got a warning because he was being insulting right here on our turf, which felt totally unnecessary...
If someone is getting under someone else's skin, they should either a) just ignore them or b) start a thread here and file a formal complaint.
I truly try not to hand out warnings for nothing, and honestly, I'm trying my best to use them as sparingly as possible...
But if someone isn't following the rules, then yeah, warnings are definitely expected.
There has to be some level of normal communication and basic politeness, after all...

And, by the way, how could I possibly be supporting Mary? Mary is my co-moderator, so I don't make her decisions for her. You’ll have to take that up with her directly instead of coming to me...
I was simply answering James regarding his OWN warning, which is the one I personally issued to him. I can't speak for anyone else...

Personally, I’m all for stripping all the moderators of their titles and revoking their access.
We should just have a couple of admins left who only step in when someone reports posts involving obscene insults—you know, the heavy stuff targeting race, religion, or personal attacks.

Everything else should just be allowed to play out naturally.

What is the point of having a moderation team if they're just using their power for personal vendettas? I literally just got back from reading through the Diaspora PDF, specifically a thread in the chat where Queen Milica was actually insulting a user named Angelina. Then, frozenseal55 pointed out that she was using a second nickname on the forum, and instead of being professional, she started flirting with her, calling her "Queen Milica Butterfly." To make matters worse, she was threatening Angelina with a ban in all caps: "PERMANENTLY."

It’s just personal bickering and total chaos at this point.

All this just so they can wipe out half a page of comments a few minutes later...

The mods should just leave us alone so we can actually enjoy hanging out together.
They need to stop gossiping, acting superior, and playing God.

Moderators are supposed to serve the forum, not the other way around.
