coppergardener said:man, it’s different when you aren't stuck in the city. 😢 honestly, I’d probably make a trade—I've got some vaginal meds and maybe some Target gift cards to offer. 🤣

if we're talking about trading vaginal meds, I think I'll just stick to driving more miles instead. 🤣

I totally forgot I have basically every kind of propolis imaginable sitting around here. 🥳

Any CVS or Walgreens should have it. They just updated the packaging a bit.

What exactly is that Bacitracin powder supposed to do? Someone please enlighten me.😁

It’s just a local antibiotic.😉

Oh, I am definitely going to pick some up! image
Honestly, there have been quite a few times when I was desperate for it and didn't have a single bottle on hand!

🙂

I did a little digging online, so I think I'll go ahead and pick some up myself.

Aspirin and Vitamin C 🙏
Bepanthen—I keep both the cream and the ointment versions on hand, depending on how greasy I need it to be 🤣
Joint pain gel (honestly, I only reach for this once or twice a year)
Chamomile tea
Throat tea
Mucoangin throat lozenges
Neosporin—for when wounds need to heal fast
Activated charcoal tablets (my go-to if my stomach acts up or I eat something that doesn't sit right)

I don't have a thermometer right now; I managed to break my last one 😂

My pantry is basically just a wall of herbal teas. Peppermint, nettle, various "everything" blends...

Does anyone here actually realize that 24-hour pharmacies exist? 😁

I mean, what's the point anyway? We pretty much have everything we could possibly need right here at home. 🤷

Honestly, lately I’ve been preferring the stuff from Walgreens, so I keep some of that on hand too
CVS
some Vitamin C effervescent tablets
band-aids
a thermometer, some gauze
cash—you know how it goes
Virox—for when herpes flares up on my lip because my immune system decided to take a nap
Rojazol gel—which is just wonderful for those mouth ulcers that pop up whenever my immunity hits rock bottom👍
Gastal—for those times I wake up at 4 AM, especially if Amy Lee18 🙂 decides to have a snack... man, I swear, I hate having to deal with 24-hour pharmacies when something starts hurting; driving halfway across town? No thanks, I'll pass
Ibuprofen in various dosages, because my bones and joints certainly deserve it

Looking at this list, I see a few things here that I could actually afford to treat myself to 😬

and of course, a few herbal teas, all plant-based

😁

Personally, I’ve always felt that keeping all those half-used medications just sitting around the house waiting to be used is practically an invitation for bad luck to find you. 🧐

Oh, they definitely exist. But let me tell you, there is nothing quite like that throbbing toothache that makes you feel like your head is about to explode, only to realize you don't have a single aspirin in the house. Then you're stuck driving around at 2 AM hunting for the nearest 24-hour CVS. It’s a three-day nightmare. I wouldn't wish that on anyone. 🙂

I wouldn't go that far, though I do know they definitely attract dust... 😁

Anyway, I guess it's better to have them on hand than to be scrambling when we actually need them. 😬

yeah 🙂
all you'll find outside a 24-hour pharmacy is a bunch of lonely Christmas trees 😲
I rarely need meds, but when something finally goes wrong, it’s always—of course—in the middle of the night.
unbelievable 🤷

It’s basically a mini pharmacy in here... plus we've got about four or five different meds just sitting around waiting for the FDA to clear them through—you know how it goes when you're part of a family of doctors and pharmacists. Then there's the massive stash of needles, syringes, sterile gauze, and those sterile scalpels. We even have Voltaren and Tamiflu injections chilling in the fridge. Seriously, man, it's just way too much 😢

I always keep a couple of Band-Aids and a blister pack of ibuprofen tucked away in my purse, just in case a headache decides to ruin my day.

My medicine cabinet at home is a bit of a collection. I’ve got broad-spectrum antibiotics, more ibuprofen 😁, aspirin, some Bacitracin powder, hydrocortisone cream, Neosporin, Canesten powder, Flonidan—since pears make me break out in hives—Lactogyn, and Gastal. It’s not an overwhelming amount, really. 😬

Then there’s the practical stuff: sterile gauze, bandages, and plenty of Band-Aids.

As for those old-school "natural" remedies, I keep a few bottles of homemade herbal tonics on hand 🙂 😬 along with honey, St. John's Wort oil, lily oil, hazelnut oil (essential for my acid reflux issues), and about three tons of various dried herbs.

If you’re really stuck without it, I actually have some extra powder left over at my place. 😁

Bacitracin spray is finally back on the shelves at the local pharmacies...

I am just waiting on those Bivacyn drops to arrive, which I desperately need for my sinus treatment! If anyone happens to have some sitting in their medicine cabinet, please send me a private message. I am more than willing to buy them!
