Where can I get a carotid Doppler and a slit scan?

My mom needs to get a carotid Doppler and some other stuff done, so I’m trying to figure out if there are any private clinics that actually take Medicare. Or, if anyone knows a way to jump the line and get her seen sooner without having to pay full price out of pocket—using her insurance? At the local Mayo Clinic, the wait times are insane... we're looking at like 9 months just to get an appointment.

You could go private with Dr. Miller (http://www.millerclinic.com/) over in Chicago, or maybe try Dr. Smith’s practice out in Phoenix (http://www.smithorthopedics.com/equipment.htm). Personally, I’d put my money on the guy in Chicago—I think his rates are closer to $133 what you're looking for. Good luck!
