So,
I’m sitting here wondering if anyone else deals with this bizarre, frustrating thing, because I feel like I’m losing my mind a little bit; I’ll be fast asleep, minding my own business, when I inevitably roll over and pin my arm underneath my body, and then—boom—the circulation just cuts off entirely, doesn't it? It gets so incredibly numb that it actually starts hurting, which is just great, and I end up waking up in a panic, staring at a limb that feels like a heavy, useless piece of wood, and it takes several agonizing minutes before I can even nudge it or get any sensation back.

Is it even possible to completely shut down blood flow like that just by sleeping wrong, and more importantly, am I doing permanent damage to myself or the actual functionality of my hand by letting this happen night after night?

Don't sweat it, I'm going through the exact same thing...
You're basically just choking off your own circulation with all that extra weight, nothing else to it.

That’s happened to me too... But honestly, I think it’s just the wake-up call you need.🤣🤣

Yeah, even he admitted that was what woke him up. But honestly, look, any time you cut off blood flow like that, you're playing with fire... it's dangerous, plain and simple. Just try to be a little more careful about it, especially with that lesion on your arm...

It happens now and then—nothing major, really—but you get that weird, stinging sensation where your arm just goes completely numb. It’s actually pretty surreal when you can't feel your hand at all; it just stays dead for a few minutes until the feeling finally starts crawling back. Just... try not to sleep on it next time. 😁

It’s the same story for me... it happens quite frequently, and there is always this disorienting delay where it takes several minutes before I even begin to register what is happening. There is a certain dread that sets in whenever I wake up and find it just hanging there—completely numb, feeling as though it were made of nothing more than rubber.

You aren't going to hurt yourself. That tingling sensation happens because you're putting enough pressure on the nerves in your hand to temporarily cut off communication with your brain. You're also restricting blood flow, but given how brief these instances usually are, there won't be any lasting consequences...
