Quick question
I’ve been dealing with this weird chest discomfort for about two months now. It hits in waves—sometimes it sticks around for ten days, then vanishes for a couple, and just keeps looping. It’s not like crushing pain or anything, but the anxiety it triggers is real. I already know everyone’s gonna tell me to go see a doctor, but here’s the thing: about two and a half years ago, I went to a private specialist for an ultrasound, and he basically told me it was nothing and that these pains could stick around until I'm 27. But this current sensation feels... different. The worst part is when I get those sharp little twinges; my mind immediately jumps to the worst-case scenario. I had an EKG done six months ago and everything checked out fine. Anyone else ever dealt with stuff like this?

Oh man. It happens to me too.
I know exactly what you mean. I tend to spiral into a panic, which just makes everything feel ten times worse.
Hmm... I was actually just reading up on this a little while ago..
It seems like everyone says the root cause is basically stress and that it’s all psychological at its core.
I don't know.. it scares me, too. Honestly, I'm pretty worried..🤷

Look, it’s not like I’m in agony or anything, but there's this constant, nagging discomfort right around my nipple area. For the last couple of days, I've been getting this sharp stinging sensation near my chest hair too. I'm not dizzy or dealing with any other actual symptoms—just those random moments where I feel like I might pass out, though that's probably just my head playing tricks on me. I've been putting off seeing a doctor because the last time I went, maybe three years ago, they told me the exact same thing. But back then, it wasn't constant. I'm constantly checking my pulse and it stays steady between 60 and 75. The only weird thing is that every once in a blue moon, it feels like my heart tries to squeeze in an extra two or three beats in a split second...

It’s got nothing to do with heart.

Unless you’re dealing with chest pains—I actually went through this recently and honestly thought I was having a heart attack😁 but nope, turns out it was just some nasty inflammation in my intercostal muscles. A five-day course of Advil and some herbal gel massages did the trick.

I don't think it's stress. I mean, college has been kicking my ass lately, but this started two months ago when everything was actually pretty chill. I wasn't even worried about it at first, just kind of a background thing, but this stinging sensation lately is starting to freak me out. Thinking about hitting up a local clinic to get an echocardiogram done. Does anyone know how much those things usually run at private clinics around here?

Hey, I noticed it’s been ages since anyone even touched this thread—seriously, years!—but honestly, you can never go wrong with asking for a bit of help when things feel off, right?
Lately, I’ve started feeling this weird, sharp poking sensation right in my chest area. It happens mostly when I try to take a deep breath, or sometimes if I just move my left arm a certain way—it’s super quick, though, just a few seconds and then it vanishes. I’ll admit, I'm getting a little spooked by it... but I really don't think it's a blood pressure issue or anything like that, especially since, well, I'm still pretty young, you know?

Get an done. Seriously, anyone dealing with this kind of anxiety should just go get checked out. I went through the exact same thing—I had this shooting pain down my left arm that I was convinced was my heart failing me. I completely panicked. But once I got the EKG results back and saw everything was fine, the fear vanished instantly.
