I was wondering if anyone could help me make sense of my mother's pathology report. I picked up the results today, but we haven't received any follow-up information from her doctor yet... anything you can tell me would really help put my mind at ease so I don't spend all night overthinking this.
The report states: skin from the nose containing tumor tissue, measuring 2.3 cm in size; there is a wide, shallow central surface defect with a firm, shallow base; the specimen is entirely submitted. Serial HE sections reveal trichoblastoma, a basaloid tumor with trichilemmal differentiation showing no signs of atypia. Centrotubular calcifications are present. The resection margins are widely clear of pathological changes.
Thank you all in advance for your help...
