Ever been one of those kids who spent their whole childhood hearing people say:
"Man, you hit the jackpot with your mom."

And honestly? You never really got what they meant. You weren't looking at her through some weird lens where you’re thinking about her being a total knockout—you just saw Mom. Period.

But then you grow up. Suddenly, you're out at a bar or a party, someone mentions a woman in her age group—or even younger—and you find yourself subconsciously comparing them to your mother. That’s when it hits you like a freight train. You realize your mom is actually a stunning woman, and you’re left wondering why it took you decades to realize she was such a badass.

So, let's settle this: Is your mom hot?

And why do people act so weirdly uncomfortable when they realize their own mom is a smoke show?

Post those bikini shots so we can see what we were actually talking about.

Look, you can't really judge whether your mother was attractive or not. But there are some good people here, and they'll help you out.

Alright everyone, let’s dial it back; we’re all just circling around proving what the guy asked in the first place. 😁 That being said, I do agree with the sentiment that we're really the only ones capable of making that kind of judgment call for ourselves.😁

So my mom was attractive, big deal. That’s how she met my dad, who happened to be good-looking too. And then I showed up. 😁

🤦

Beauty really has nothing to do with vulgarity. Some guys are just 🤦total idiots
.
Look, my mother wasn't some Hollywood starlet, but her friends constantly complimented how great she looked. Especially after she had four kids.

*edit
I see now that we're talking about a girl. *Drama* 🤦over nothing!

I mean, obviously she's a woman and clearly comparing herself to her mother, so things went sideways—who else would have started a thread like this? 😁

He thinks he’s such a visionary when it comes to writing.

I honestly don't understand what his problem is. Women have spent their entire lives observing other women, critiquing looks, comparing themselves, and dealing with all that social scrutiny.
I haven't met a single woman yet who can't look at someone else and objectively decide if she's attractive or beautiful.🤷

Honestly, all the better if they just post a photo of themselves and their mom together—because let’s be real, her whole obsession here seems to be how she's going to look once she hits her mom's age.

Since we're sitting here acting as objective observers, our verdict actually carries some weight. ☕

Honestly, she couldn't care less if she looks worse than her mother did at her age.

Basically, her own photo—and maybe a shot of her mom from somewhere back in the eighties. Topless, if possible.

I’m with you there—that’s really the only way we can actually separate what’s hardwired into someone's DNA from what’s just... well, a byproduct of their phenotype or how they live their life these days. Like, if you inherited a certain build from your old man, that's one thing.

*And honestly, none of us need to be looking at photos of your dad shirtless. Not back in the eighties, and certainly not now.

Look, I’m not talking about my own mom specifically—this is more about attractive moms in general.

I’ve noticed with other people too that they often don't realize just how good-looking their moms are, even when everyone tells them so.

It’s not like I’m comparing myself to her; I wish we looked a bit more alike, but it is what it is. She’s sophisticated, while I’m more of a hot mess. She has these delicate features, and I just look like a gremlin.
And honestly, she probably holds her own much better than I do in bed. Since she’s a classier person overall, I’m sure getting what she wants is way easier for her than it is for me.

But that’s not even the point here.

The real question is why people find it so hard to view their moms through this lens:
"Wow, she's really attractive."

Without any sexual undertones or creepy vibes attached to the word "attractive."
Just attractive... objectively.
Why can't we just be objective when it comes to our moms?

It’s not just about mothers. Honestly, half the girls I grew up with used to tell me my dad was a total stud. -.-

Are you seriously still talking about your own mother??

With one of my exes, her mother was actually more head over heels for me than she was when they were dating, so she once 🤣🤣

But if I’m being completely honest, nothing ever actually happened between me and her mom, though there was always this undeniable "something in the air" 🤣

At the end of the day, having your mother-in-law love you is what really matters, and it doesn't hurt if she happens to be a good cook too. At least you'll know exactly what kind of meals to expect when you're older. 😁

And let's be real, she probably holds her own way better in the bedroom too, since she's just a higher-quality human being overall—she can definitely pull a guy much easier than I ever could.

Aha... classic Stifler's Mom syndrome.
