I don't even follow pet threads. I don't think I've ever posted in one. It’s just that whenever I hit the forum homepage, I see endless topics about some dog being tied up or someone shaving a cat. Honestly, that kind of stuff makes me want to pull a trigger. Since there isn't much I can actually do about it—I've called the police more than once already—it's better if I just avoid it so I don't lose my mind. Once, I was out swimming while everyone else was freezing in their jackets just to pull a pigeon out of the ocean, and even then, the local animal rescue wouldn't touch it. It's exhausting. Better to just look away.
