Can anyone tell me if they’ve had any experience with this, or maybe know someone who has? I'm trying to get an idea of what my disability rating might look like. I've actually been undergoing treatment for three years now, and they're planning to wrap up my medical care at the end of the year since it looks like there isn't going to be much progress left to make.
About three years ago, I suffered a spinal fracture. I was immobile for quite a while, and it took six months of really grueling physical therapy just to be able to walk again. Even so, the lasting effects are still there—my legs go numb sometimes, and I definitely can't run anymore. I also struggle with sitting for long periods, standing up, or lifting anything heavy. My right leg is significantly thinner than my left because the nerves on that side are pretty much completely weakened.
I work as a hairstylist, so, unfortunately, that career path is pretty much out of the question for me now. Does anyone have a rough idea of what percentage of disability I might qualify for?

You really ought to dig through the federal regulations in the Federal Register to find the specific guidelines.

Three years ago, I broke my spine. I was completely immobile for a while, and it took six months of brutal physical therapy just to walk again. But the damage is done—my legs go numb, I can't run, and sitting or standing for long periods is a nightmare. My right leg is way thinner than the left because the nerves are totally shot.
I'm a hairstylist by trade, so that career is pretty much over for me now. Does anyone have a rough idea of what my disability percentage would be?

If they approve you for full disability, it's 80%, otherwise maybe 70% max.
