I caught this one the other night and honestly, I wish I could just erase it from my memory. I’d much rather remember him as Mad Max or Martin Riggs than whatever this washed-up version of Mel is—just an aging actor who seems to have forgotten how to actually perform. His only remaining talent is holding a gun, which is clearly the only thing the producers were banking on. It feels like a cheap attempt to remix his Payback, but they added all that corporate conspiracy nonsense because modern writers assume the average guy at the multiplex won't notice the massive plot holes in the script.

A total disaster! The absolute peak of stupidity was near the end when one of the bad boss's bodyguards yells at Mel, "Stay There ! Don't move! Be dead!" 🤣

All I can really say is that the movie was a total dud, and the acting? Just a complete train wreck... especially the women, though honestly, Mel wasn't much better than they were.

Yeah, that scene was pretty cheesy and naive. 😁 Personally, I thought the movie was alright. It's not a masterpiece, but it isn't complete garbage either. Maybe the pacing drags a bit and the plot gets a little muddy in places regarding who's who, but it's worth a watch.
Expecting Gibson to still be playing characters like Riggs at his age in a movie like this is probably asking too much. 😁

It starts off on a high note, though it loses a bit of steam toward the end. All things considered, it’s a very solid film.

I saw this movie on CBS at 9:00 this morning... couldn't believe I was watching something from 2010 on TV 😲

Personally, I thought it was a subpar movie, and Mel Gibson’s performance was particularly weak. I’ll start by pointing out the scenes following his "daughter's" death; his portrayal of a grieving father was, to put it mildly, almost comedically bad. On top of that, the plot feels completely nonsensical.
By the end, it turns out his daughter was somehow caught up in some massive American conspiracy involving trillions of dollars.
It’s that typical Hollywood trope that just wasn't necessary here.

Honestly, the only part of this movie actually worth watching is that one scene where the car hits that girl, causing > to fly out and absolutely unload on the driver in his classic style. Everything else? Just total garbage.

It’s a decent enough watch... I mean, it isn't a total disaster, but it's probably not his best work either.

Honestly, what a total slog. Between the wooden acting, the shaky direction, and just a general sense of everything going wrong—it was an absolute train wreck. I feel like I just flushed two hours of my life down the drain...

That was a solid flick! Even Mel was totally hooked since they both ended up loving this movie and Gringo too.
The second half of the film could have definitely landed a bit harder, but hey, it’s still decent as is. I gotta say though, those sudden, wild twists—like that gut-punching moment at the start where he loses his daughter—were actually pretty impressive and caught me off guard.
My rating: 5/10
