Taylor Swift is actually a killer band in that genre, not just for local scenes but globally too.

You call it "music for old ladies" just because there's a female vocalist and they play gothic industrial, so in your head, it's trash.

A ton of mediocre foreign bands blow up and headline massive festivals, so give me one single valid reason why Taylor Swift is worse than them.

That kind of music isn't my cup of tea, but Taylor Swift is way better than Evanescence for example, and there will always be an audience for this stuff.

The whole situation just proves that bands from Washington, D.C. fail because they're stuck in their own bubble. They think being from D.C. is some magic formula for success, but they're just limited.

Taylor Swift only played once in NYC outside of Paradise Lost, and the D.C. crowd barely showed up-(

FATHER, TAYLOR SWIFT, OVERFLOW, ASHES YOU LEAVE, Bambi Molesters... none of them are from D.C., yet all of them are famous across Europe (and the USA), and some are barely even starting their careers.

Look, I’ve got nothing against the band, really. It’s just... they aren't exactly breaking new ground on a global scale, you know? There are tons of bands out there doing the exact same thing. I truly wish them nothing but the best, though.

Even the Voodoo Lizards deserved to make it big worldwide, honestly.😉

OL actually has a shot at making it, unlike Vanguard.

You seem pretty damn sure when you claim "nothing's happening globally," but even if nothing else, they already landed on the cover of Rolling Stone with their first album, and it's selling in the USA through an official distributor.

They’ve played festivals from Germany all the way to Romania, and tons of fans across Europe and the USA are dying for this new album since the leaks have been getting killer reviews.

They pulled all that off with just a debut at the very start of their career, but I guess according to you, all of THAT is "USELESS" and "SO EASY TO ACHIEVE," right?!

All five of them, honestly... like I said before, I just really want them to win 👍

Kinetic’s new sophomore album just dropped.

It’s killer. Every single track is a hit. I really hope the band finds some time to play a show in a place like Washington, D.C., because with this new material, they’re gonna take over Europe and eventually blow up way beyond the States.

In the USA, Sony/BMG is handling the distribution starting in June.

The band paid tribute to their roots in "Song," where that American chorus fits perfectly.

Breaking, Time of Change, Titan, Song, Salvation Refused... seriously good stuff. Pure fire.

Totally agree, this album is absolute fire
and I’m crossing my fingers we catch them playing in Washington, D.C.
