velvettiger10 said:Honestly, why not? Since he already handed over the cash, he might as well see the whole thing through to the end. 😁

He paid up $67 because he just doesn't want the headache of dealing with him... 😬

wiredharbor22 said:You're acting completely unhinged just because of $67. You're getting worked up over nothing. Just save yourself the trouble and let it go. I can already picture you cornering one of the girls on her way to the 7-Eleven, trying to snatch $67 right out of her hand, chasing her down, grabbing her clothes, tackling her to the ground, and then running off with the money, waving it in the air with this terrifying grin on your face.

When you head to the store? 😁

So, when are you heading to the store? 😁

No, it’s not like he "gave" him $200 out of nowhere, it was $333!!! He actually paid him upfront for some work that was supposed to happen, but then the guy just flaked and won't give the money back, you know?

And now, technically, it looks like a loan... since the guy backed out of the job...

I mean, that’s just how it goes... everyone gets burned by some "handyman" at least once in their life.

Anyway, I really hope you get your money back!! 😉

I don't think you're going to drop dead over those $67, but you should certainly leave him a scathing review wherever you can—if nothing else, just to make sure nobody else falls into his trap.

As for this whole business regarding the harassment of his daughter on Facebook😲, I honestly don't see why you need to drag them into this. Unless, of course, your ultimate goal is to pick a fight with the entire family.😕
They aren't responsible for any of this, so there's really no reason to take your frustrations out on them. You have a phone; just call your mother or father directly.
That’s my two cents.

And this whole thing about harassing his daughter on Facebook😲... I don't see why you have to drag them into this. Are you really trying to pick a fight with the entire family?😕
They didn't do anything wrong, so don't take it out on them. You have a phone; just call the parents directly.
That's all there is to it.

It isn't about whether I'll die or not. It's the principle. When someone is that rude and low-class, they don't deserve anything else.
And I'm not "harassing" any daughters. They're just the ones most likely to be online, and I'm just having them pass a message to their mom...
I have a phone, but I'm just not in the mood to talk. Honestly, I've lost my appetite for dealing with them. ☕
And I'm not the one starting fights; they are. I calmly stated that I want the money I lent back.

Honestly, you’d probably be better off hiring a professional to handle all that. You need someone who can actually sit down and lay out every single deduction and receipt properly. A close friend of mine just finished her filing and ended up pulling in about $5,000 in tax refunds. It makes you realize how much money you leave on the table when you try to DIY it.

So I went over to her place, just to have a quiet chat... everything seemed fine until she drops this on me: says she hasn't seen a dime since May.
I told her, look, fine, whenever you get the cash, you can just pay me back in installments. I'm willing to wait. She goes, "Okay."

But then, after we've settled everything, she looks at me and asks, why do you even owe me money? 😲
I try explaining the whole situation again... she seems to get it, but then she hits me with this: "Well, my husband said your husband threw his cordless drill into the fire." 😲

I asked her, who? Which drill?
http://www.ponuda.com/images/1003/ma...270%20DWAE.jpg
It's like this little red thing right here.
Into a fire? What fire? I asked her where, and she goes, "In the garage, in the furnace." I'm sitting there thinking, we don't even have a furnace in the garage, or anywhere else in the house!!!
And a cordless drill in a furnace???

Yeah, she says, that's what he told me, and that's why he's deducting those $67!!! 😲

I told her, listen, your guy can say whatever nonsense he wants, lie through his teeth for all I care—he picked up the tools from us himself and everything was accounted for. As for this drill story... please. He needs to find a better lie, because I still want my money. Then she suddenly remembers I did some sewing for her and goes, "You know, what you're asking for is way too much!"
I said, no it isn't. My hourly rate is actually way lower than yours. He spent a few minutes fixing a faucet and charged about $100... well... I don't work for free.

So now I'm just waiting... ☕

We can't even ask for a refund because my guy doesn't have any income here in the States. He's never worked here—nobody has ever worked here, really. He's just got his residency on paper, mostly because of me.

Pasmater, I read this like it was a freaking thriller. I couldn't wait to reach the final 🤣 👍. Especially since I jumped in right during the "deadline" phase.
I don't have the guts to handle things that way. Honestly, I wouldn't do it by any 😬. Unfortunately, people can push me around pretty easily. I guess it's just written on my face.

It's a total mess, $67, but the point isn't about $67; it's about how it drives you crazy for at least a month.
And you'll probably think about it several times a day, talk about it at home, feel the weight of it, and need those $67 just to find some closure so you can move on with your life.

I really hope that happens.

Also, I feel a little bad for his family, 🤷.

It’s not even a conversation anymore; we’re just fighting. I refuse to back down, and he just keeps shouting that I’m some high-strung, difficult woman who’s constantly picking fights with everyone... honestly, it’s ridiculous. I told him, "Look, you gave it away when you shouldn't have, especially after I explicitly told you NOT to give it..."

Now he needs to shut up and let me handle things.

But it’s only now that we're realizing what kind of people we actually have around us—people who look you straight in the eye and lie without blinking. You can't even tell what they're thinking; they're as slippery as an eel.

The absolute highlight of his "brilliant" logic happened when I asked him what he actually considers business expenses. He had the nerve to say, "Gas!"

I mean, seriously? What freaking gas? He tells me, "The gas I used driving over to see you guys!" And he actually thinks he can write that off $67....
PM, I'm basically hovering right over the situation at home, but I have to be careful. We don't even have a front door, thank God, so he could have just walked, biked, or rolled up in a wagon... 😂
I swear, I was seconds away from giving him a piece of my mind that would have leveled a building. I really had to hold myself back...

I totally pictured you swinging at him, and he’s just frantically scrambling over you, trying to save his skin while taking hits to the backside. 🤣

Is he drinking a little too much? Because that’s how I imagined him 🤣.

Is this guy a bit of a heavy drinker? Because that’s how I pictured him 🤣.

Ha ha ha....if I'd actually decked him, he probably would've ended up stuck to an APC along with his bike... but I didn't. Though, god, I was screaming so loud he could barely move forward—just inching along every few centimeters like some snail retreating into its shell. His beard was shaking so hard he couldn't even get a word out....
How could I not scream? He's looking us both dead in the eye, swearing up and down that we never gave him any money, that he has no idea what we're talking about, and that we weren't even the ones who hired him to work the main site!!
Screaming? No, I was more like, why would we even call you? Maybe if we needed someone to fix the plumbing, which might explain why half the house is trashed. And honestly, what kind of "plumbing" is it when the pipes are running through the ceiling? I had to ask him if he was drunk, high, or just naturally so dim that he’s forgotten his own name....

He couldn't run off because I was holding onto his bike handlebars...🤣 and he didn't even dare try to snatch them away. He attempted to, sure, but my voice totally drowned him out..🤣

Does he drink? Please. He was knocking back beers and shots at our place almost every single day..
Once he finished up, he came over to my place for some of that premium bourbon,,,which he polished off half a bottle of (my husband was just staring at him like, "wow, this guy drinks like a fish") and then proceeded to drink every drop of the stuff he brought to rinse out his mouth...😂
In three days, he swiped a whole liter from us..and bled my idiot dry too..$333..

The second he got his hands on the cash, he vanished.....what a complete scumbag....👎

So, my daughter just messaged me on Facebook...

It’s honestly pathetic....she says her dad is threatening to report us to the police, claiming we stole his meat grinder (yeah, finally figured out what that thing is actually called)....

I told her—honestly, I’m almost looking forward to it. It might be a great idea, really. I could actually call the cops myself and invite them over for a little visit, maybe even suggest a search warrant. Why? Because the guy has a whole damn arsenal of tools stolen from construction sites back when he was working in Germany....

He’s got that, uh, what do you call it, HILTI drill...that "Hilti" thing. He straight up admitted he swiped it over there. Those things cost an absolute fortune; only big-shot corporations can afford them. And since all his other gear is German-made too... yeah, so about this whole "we stole from him while he's an innocent victim" nonsense... it’s not gonna fly....

As if I’d ever take a screwdriver from him, let alone some stupid meat grinder... why would I want stolen goods sitting around my house? I don't need the cops showing up at my place because someone robbed a job site... please, give me a break....

Just a total scumbag, nothing more...

Man, there’s definitely going to be more to this story.

🍿

What if you just gave up the sewing and started writing instead?
I mean, those first few posts were such a wild ride I had to read them twice, but the fact that I actually *wanted* to keep reading says a lot.
Your storytelling has this fast, punchy rhythm—it’s almost staccato—and I was just dying to see what comes next. And the descriptions? Man, they paint such a vivid picture that I felt like I was right there living the scene myself. 🤣

I'm totally hooked.

Write a comedy screenplay, pitch $67 and make $20,000 on a hit 😂. You should probably ask the lead actor if he wants to play himself 🤣.

^Thanks for the vote of confidence, really... I tend to think in pictures, you know? It’s how my brain works—everything is just these vivid little snapshots stuck in my head.

So, you're actually suggesting I write a whole novel about this guy? 🤣
Honestly, if people saw what I see, they wouldn't just laugh—they'd be doubled over. And the way he walks? God, it’s painful to watch. He shuffles along like he’s walking on eggshells, all wobbly in the knees... there isn't a single ounce of masculinity in him. Just... yikes.

And get this—I don't think I've ever seen him crack a smile. Not even a smirk. You could tell him the funniest joke in America while everyone else is losing their minds, and he’ll just sit there making some weird, sour grimace...
Maybe he’s just playing a part, acting out his own internal monologue or something... who knows? But if he tried to act? How would anyone even take him seriously?😂

It’d actually be a pretty good comedy, too—there’s even some eroticism involved.
Like, just some suggestive teasing through a fence 🤣.

As for a happy ending, besides getting a massive payout from Netflix for the script, we could always marry off your son to the little girl next door. Do you have a son? No? Doesn't matter, we'll just make one up. You know how these TV shows work—some kid from a previous marriage who's been lost for years.

Like, you know, a little bit of skin flashing over a backyard fence type of thing. 🤣.

Oh, please... spare me. Thanks, but no thanks for those kinds of ideas. I'd rather send them off to become preachers or something. I've got three boys, and the two oldest are pretty much the same age as those girls... but... well...
