I won't even bother commenting on the looks since I'm neither a woman nor gay, but as far as the music goes, what they play is a level of artistry that most modern bands couldn't even begin to imagine, let alone actually create.

Man, let's be real, true thrash metal had its golden era right from the mid-eighties until maybe around '92, before most bands started drifting off into different directions because they got hit by that whole grunge wave and all that nonsense.

Take a band like Testament, for instance... their album Practice What You Preach is pure, unadulterated thrash, but then during the nineties they kind of veered toward death metal, and lately, they've just been mixing all sorts of different metal styles together.

There are plenty of other killer examples from the tail end of the eighties too, like Sacred Reich, Forbidden, Prong, Annihilator, and Suicidal Tendencies—specifically that Lights, Camera, Revolution era.

And look, let's not even pretend that anything Metallica put out after the Black album qualifies as thrash... definitely not.

Even Pantera’s Cowboys from Hell record sits somewhere in that thrash territory, more or less.
